Inviting applications for the role of SAP BO Developer

Responsibilities

1. Report Development:

• Develop and design reports using SAP BusinessObjects tools such as Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and Analysis for Office.

• Work with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

2. Dashboard Development:

• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards (formerly Xcelsius) or SAP Lumira Designer.

• Customize dashboards to meet the specific needs of business users.

3. Data Modeling and Query Building:

• Build and optimize data models and queries using SAP BusinessObjects Universe Design Tool (UDT) or Information Design Tool (IDT).

• Ensure data integrity and performance in data retrieval processes.

4. System Administration:

• Perform system administration tasks such as user management, security configuration, and server monitoring within SAP BusinessObjects environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server performance and stability.

5. Integration:

• Integrate SAP BusinessObjects with other SAP and non-SAP systems as required.

• Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between different systems and applications.

6. Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to end-users on SAP BusinessObjects tools and functionalities.

• Assist users in creating ad-hoc reports and troubleshooting issues.

7. Best Practices and Standards:

• Adhere to best practices and standards for report development, data modeling, and system administration within SAP BusinessObjects environments.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

8. Documentation:

• Document technical specifications, design documents, and user guides for developed reports and solutions.

• Maintain documentation of system configurations and customizations.

9. Performance Tuning:

• Optimize report performance and data retrieval processes to ensure efficient use of system resources.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in reports and queries.

10. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and system administrators to deliver high-quality BI solutions.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project status.

11. Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on the latest features, enhancements, and best practices in SAP BusinessObjects.

• Participate in training programs and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge.

1. Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate - Business Intelligence with SAP BW/4HANA (or equivalent).

• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (or equivalent).

3. Experience:

• Several years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects development and administration.

• Experience working with SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP HANA environments is highly desirable.

4. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects tools including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, SAP Lumira, and Dashboards.

• Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.

• Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects administration tasks such as security configuration and server management.

5. Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business requirements and design appropriate solutions.

• Ability to analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

6. Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to interact with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language for business users.

7. Teamwork:

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
