- A minimum of 12 years of experience in Business Analysis
- Experience working as a Business Analyst in Cruise Lines Industry Domain and/or Media & Entertainment Domain is a must
- Experience in any COTS product is the travel and hospitality sector is a plus
- Working experience of Agile Methodologies and associated tools
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects
- Experienced in gathering and interpreting business requirements
- Experience in developing technical requirements and specifications, including knowledge of software engineering methodologies, reporting tools, modelling, and testing.
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Strong PC skills are required.
- Candidate must be a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- The overarching goal of Business Analysis role is to promote the design and build of quality services to enable business processes.
- The analytical/decision making responsibilities of the Business Analysis role is to: Act as a partner and thought leader to the business by providing input to current and future process improvement and technology needs. Lead though influence to get work done across programs, business units and company-wide initiatives. Establish collaborative working relations with stakeholders, including identifying business process owners and SMEs as needed. Risk communications to business and internal team. Responsible for understanding business needs, process analysis, structured walkthroughs of the design and implementation of business processes and workflows. Facilitating process mapping workshops with business and IT partners. Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business requirements. Responsible for managing and prioritizing the product backlog. Translates product managers' strategies to development tasks. Reviews, analyses, and evaluates business system requests and user needs. Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to active systems and the implementation of new systems Leverages requirements modelling and/or testing tools to address business needs. Serve as main point of contact for the assigned Business Unit(s). Understand Business Goals and Challenges. Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. Manage the process of innovative change effectively. Performs the testing and certification process. Oversee troubleshooting of system issues as required. Provide ad-hoc analyses (, new functionality effectiveness, scope decision scenarios, etc.) to guide decision-making on design of products. Perform other duties as required. - Plan, estimate and socialize the business analysis approach. This information will be provided to and used by the Agile Team and Product Owner who are responsible for determining and implementing the MVP.
- Identify the business need for the change by understanding the problem the business is trying to solve or the opportunities to improve the business. This may include assessing the current capabilities of the business to support the business need.
- Develop appropriate levels of documentation to support of the business goal and vision. Ensure all stakeholders have the same understanding and agreement as to the desired outcome. This implies all conflicts, issues and changes will be managed in the backlog to enable proper prioritization to satisfy the business need being delivered.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Very good understanding of the customer strategy, services, and business processes
- Ability to work and team effectively with IT Services groups and other management personnel including on a global, virtual basis
- Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
- Management skills to manage more than one transition simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
