Job Description

: The Duty Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various engineering systems and equipment within premises. The Duty Engineer will play a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing necessary repairs and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and supervise the operation of critical engineering systems, including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance activities to identify potential faults or malfunctions and address them proactively.

Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate necessary repairs to minimize disruption to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment status.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including facility management, operations, and contractors, to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities and adherence to safety protocols.

Continuously evaluate and optimize maintenance procedures and suggest improvements to enhance the reliability and efficiency of systems.

Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, and regulations related to engineering systems and propose the adoption of new technologies or practices when appropriate.

Assist in the planning and execution of capital projects related to engineering systems, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders.

Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and other staff to ensure proper understanding and execution of engineering procedures.

Comply with all internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental protection, and quality control.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred).

Proven experience in building operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of engineering systems.

Sound knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
