    Job Description

    : The Duty Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various engineering systems and equipment within premises. The Duty Engineer will play a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing necessary repairs and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance overall operational performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise the operation of critical engineering systems, including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance activities to identify potential faults or malfunctions and address them proactively.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate necessary repairs to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment status.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including facility management, operations, and contractors, to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize maintenance procedures and suggest improvements to enhance the reliability and efficiency of systems.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, and regulations related to engineering systems and propose the adoption of new technologies or practices when appropriate.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of capital projects related to engineering systems, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and other staff to ensure proper understanding and execution of engineering procedures.
  • Comply with all internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental protection, and quality control.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred).
  • Proven experience in building operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of engineering systems.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
