Job Description:
A DataOps Engineer partners with software development to curate Developer self-service tools and systems to empower our continuous deployment environment.
They have an understanding of automation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. They are responsible for educating stream-aligned product teams on how to build and own their own infrastructure.They also stay up to date on theDevOps community by continually researching, testing, and developing solutions to better enable our Software Engineers through automation and self-service.
What you'll do:
Collaborate to develop a flexible infrastructure to promote Developer self-service
Monitor our environments, servers, and applications for health, performance and security
Forecast and assess reliability risks whilst ensuring redundancy and resilience of infrastructure and services
Maintain a pulse on emerging tools and technologies, discover opportunities within our environment where they could be used and implement solutions
Collaborate with teammates to research, address technical needs and roadmap and develop new solutions
Requirements:
Basic experience as cloud provisioning (AWS), configuration management, and some exposure to an infrastructure as code tool (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
Exposure to a programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or others
Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar
Exposure to Windows and Linux Experience automation and the development of automation tools
Familiarity in continuous integration and deployment methodologies and pipelines
Experience you'll bring:
Experience with concepts tools such as IaC, CDK, Terraform would be a plus
Experience using observability / monitoring tooling would be a plus
Education and experience requirementsRequires a minimum of 2 years of related or equivalent experience; a Bachelor's degree, or an advanced degree without experience.
