    Experian are currently looking for a Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our Dynamic and growing Information Technology Services group, within the Platform Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team of engaged technical specialists working in a fast-paced environment.

    Experian are currently making huge investments in cutting edge technology and this role will be at the forefront of our technical transformation. We are constantly looking at how we can be creative in the way we deliver solutions to our clients and as part of this role you will be challenged to find efficiencies through tracking, reporting and analysing Cloud Services Costs, working closely with our internal clients to deliver effective Cloud Cost Financial Management.

    This will involve daily data analysis of Experian's Cloud Usage to identify Cost Optimisation Opportunities and to inform the Business, Technical and Finance owners. Including Rightsizing, Wastage removal, potential technology upgrades.

    Job Description

    The Cloud FinOps Analyst will work with a wide range of stakeholders to promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness for Experian's cloud consumption. Key areas the role will support, include financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting, consumption analysis and KPIs, showback and recharge.

    The Cloud FinOps Analyst will be responsible for:

    • Developing dashboards and reports to analyse, monitor, report on Experian's consumption of Cloud and related services to proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, manage anomalies alerts and unplanned spikes.
    • Work with various stakeholders to help them understand their AWS spend and optimise it based on their unique architecture and desired business outcomes.
    • Analyse, report, and produce meaningful insights within cloud billing and usage tools, CMDB, and other asset inventories as applicable.
    • Support in developing a team with skills required to transition Experian into an organization which has best-in-class approach to technology vendor/partner management and achieves best-in-class results.
    • Development of and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure all work is executed to a high standard.
    • Communicate across multiple internal customer personas, from Business Unit Engineering Teams and their Finance Partners to EITS Cloud Platform Team and Finance.
    • Communication of team progress and roadmaps

    As such, we are looking for someone that has experience of working in a medium to large environment with extensive knowledge of AWS, QuickSight, Cloudability and Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a solid technical background in Cloud FinOps Management.

    Qualifications

    Technical Skills - Core

    • Proven track record and experience of Cloud provider tools and billing mechanics.
    • Experience of Cloud Management Tools such as Cloudability, QuickSight, Cost Explorer, etc.
    • Experience with AWS cost Management and Technologies.

    Technical Skills - Desirable

    • Possess a current FinOps certification, or ability to attain within 6 months.
    • Possess an AWS Practitioner certification or ability to attain within 12months.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    • Knowledge of Agile working practices (Scrum, LeSS, Kanban)
    • Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with ticket tracking software, specifically Service Now
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with internal/external customers, vendors, management in both formal and informal situations.
    • Ability to evaluate and tackle complex problems and understand the implications of different business approaches.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to innovate and work without direction/supervision.
    • Ability to think creatively.
