- Lead various initiatives with a global team of Engineers, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure governance, project delivery, and Architecture meet requirements.
- Work flexibly across one or more DevOps 'pods' as the Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineer.
- Build and manage Cloud environments for efficient application deployments.
- Oversee the engineering of solutions using Infrastructure As Code methodologies.
- Ensure Operational and compliance activities are carried out, with plans for service remediation and ensuring high platform availability at all times.
- Provide quality assurance for engineering delivery and promote best practices throughout development and operations.
- Contribute to advancing the Kubernetes platform to address growing business needs.
- Support continuous improvement processes and enhance engineering best practices by collaborating with other Infrastructure Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineers.
- Demonstrate a strong curiosity about the functioning and potential failures of large systems, with a preference for CLIs and automating tasks wherever possible.
- Possess hands-on Kubernetes Administrator skills, including experience in managing K8s clusters at scale (100+ nodes) and deploying microservices to the cloud.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS with expertise in Cloud migration and an understanding of Cloud Architecture, networking concepts, and IaC methods like Terraform.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, familiarity with observability tools for large-scale Kubernetes environments, and experience in managing Infra/Code deployments using Jenkins pipelines.
- Customer-centric mindset, capable of building strong relationships with various teams, good leadership and teamwork abilities, and adherence to approved design patterns and security standards.
- Experience in highly regulated industries, Agile Scrum & DevOps environments, and proficiency in communication to convey complex information effectively.
- Establish effective networks across business areas, prioritize relationship building based on trust, and encourage collaboration.
- Proven success in delivering complex projects/programs using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure success.
- Primary Skills: Kubernetes (Administration), AWS (Advanced), Terraform, Monitoring tools like Splunk or DataDog.
- Secondary Skills: ISTIO or other service meshes, HELM, Python, Kong or other API gateway technologies, CI/CD tooling (Jenkins).
