    Responsible for the planning, design and build of security architectures; oversees the implementation of network and computer security and ensures compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures. Monitors cybersecurity requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices. Performs security assessments of applications and systems using penetration and vulnerability testing and risk analysis. Configures and installs firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Implements software fixes (patches) to remove system vulnerabilities. Responds immediately to cybersecurity-related incidents and provides a thorough post-event analysis. Investigates intrusion incidents and conducts forensic investigations.

    What you'll be doing

    As a Security Engineer your skills and qualifications will include:

    Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related (Polytechnic Diploma and two years direct hands on experience in a SOC will be considered)

    Minimum 4+ years of experience in Security Domain

    Knowledge on Cloud based security technologies

    Understanding of application layer protocols like HTTPS, SFTP, SSH etc.

    Be an escalation point for security engineers in shift

    Suitable skills or certifications from major security vendors (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) may be substituted for formal education

    Demonstrated experience working in both UNIX and Windows based environments

    Demonstrated experience with Firewalls, Content Scanners / Proxies, and IDS/IPS devices

    Demonstrated experience with VPN technologies and troubleshooting techniques

    Excellent diagnostic / troubleshooting skills

    Experience with security products from vendors such as Checkpoint, Juniper, F5, Bluecoat, Palo Alto, Cisco and other leading security vendors

    Valid Certifications with at least one leading security device vendor (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint) preferred

    Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Routing & Switching Concepts

    Excellent written and spoken fluency in English

    Comfortable and proficient working in a role that interfaces with multiple cultures and time zones

    Be the technical SME for security device and security service management

    Work as part of a 24/7/365 shift pattern

    Other duties as required
