    About Treasury Finance


    The Treasury function is responsible for the management and execution of the Group's capital, funding and liquidity risks and requirements to meet its purpose which is to balance the supply and demand of money and capital to create sustainable value.

    Treasury Finance are a trusted partner balancing commercial strategy with prudential constraints and a dynamic, efficient, and open team of diverse talent.

    We provide specialist financial support to Barclays Treasury, this includes:


    • Controlling and reporting on the transactions that Treasury undertake internally and externally.
    • Providing management information to Treasury to enable them to manage risks and financial decisions.
    • Partner the desk and key stakeholders to deliver key infrastructure initiatives.
    Overall, Purpose of Role


    • This role demands a senior strategic leader with a deep understanding of treasury business and infrastructure. The individual will be leading the Treasury product control team in India and will be accountable executive for all treasury PC tasks performed out of India.
    • The role requires collaborating seamlessly with cross functional teams, ensure integration of different treasury finance teams (PC, FC, IR) into a single team while enhancing the control environment.
    • Ensuring an end of end ownership model for India team (on controls, management information reporting and key infrastructure initiatives).
    • The role will be report into India Treasury Finance lead and will also work closely to support, retain, hire and develop finance talent pipeline in India.
    Key Accountabilities


    • Accountable executive for Treasury product control in India, reporting to Treasury Finance India Lead.
    • Ensure effective Integration of various Treasury finance teams in India (PC, FC, IR)
    • Develop/strengthen the leadership and review/supervision layer in the India team (by coaching and supporting the VP pipeline)
    • Assist in embedding the control mindset and enhance the control environment.
    • Assist in delivering key infrastructure and initiatives for the Treasury Desk and wider bank

    These include:
    o Infrastructure initiatives (specific to treasury as well as wider initiatives where Treasury is also impacted)

    o New product on boarding and governance


    • Lead the automation and standardization of various Treasury process.
    • Work closely with Front Office and Technology teams to align strategic initiatives above.
    • Implement governance and tracking tools across Projects to help balance resource and time.

    Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:


    • Significant banking experience with background as controllers across various asset class
    • Strong understanding of Treasury business and infrastructure
    • Experience in managing large global teams and ability to coach and develop (VPs)
    • Experience managing bank wide change programs
