I am a BSc. Radiation therapy Technology graduate from A J Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mangalore followed by 6 months of internship from A J Cancer Hospital and Research Centre , Mangalore, Karnataka, India. I started my career as a Radiotherapy Technologist (Therapeutic Radiographer) in HCG Cancer Hospital and Research Centre,Gulbarga India (March 2022 to till date).

As a therapeutic radiographer I understand I will have a duty to ensure both myself and my work colleagues are safe at all times and that I follow all regulatory guidelines and procedure , especially in respect of maintaining confidence, safeguarding, equality and diversity.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
I have 2 years of experience in a healthy environment of radiation oncology and have hands on experience in different advanced treatment techniques such as:
• Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
• Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy VMAT (Rapid Arc -Varian)
• Cranial Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS / SRT)
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
• Total Body Irradiation (TBI)
• 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT)
• Electron Therapy
• Conventional Radiation Therapy.

I also have experience in :
• Treatment verification through Electronic portal imaging and Cone beam CT (MVCBCT & KVCBCT).
• MOSAIQ and ARIA network for record, verify and schedule treatment.
• Preparation of all types of Immobilization devices for External Beam Radiotherapy Units such as vacloc, thermoplastic casts, belly board, wing board, electron cut outs and shielding blocks, bolus preparations in any shape and mouth bite preparation.
• CT Simulation for various types of site like Head and Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis, CSI .
• whole body scan for TBI and taking measurement for TBI treatment.
• Scheduling the patients for radiation treatment, CT simulation and maintaining records.
• Planning and organizing daily works.

EQUIPMENTS HANDLED:  Varian ETHOS linear accelerator, Varian Truebeam STX linear accelerator with 6D couch, Varian unique (Power & Performance) linear accelerator, Elekta Synergy Platformlinear accelerator, Siemens Artiste inline K view linear accelerator, Tomotherapy ( Accuracy), GE light speed 16 Slice CT simulator and 4DCT

I have excellent communication skills which helps me to build the trust and rapport with patient and help in reducing their anxiety during the treatment. I am a good listener and respond appropriately to the need and concern of the patient with empathy and non-judgmental attitude.

I possess an ability to always put patients first in everything I do and ensure provide the safe and effective care and treatment. I am kind of person who always follow the rules and operational procedure to ensure the wellness of the patients.
