Senior Logistics Specialist - Imports



Designated to handle all Urgent, Critical and Plant shut down orders both air and sea, in addition containerized

chemical bulk orders(including hazardous materials, as well as restricted materials) in close coordination with plant

shut down team, supplier(s), & customs brokers staff in order to clear cargo upon arrival to ensure timely delivery.



Monitoring & keeping logistical movement cost to minimum wherever possible for each & every shipment imported.



Fully acquainted with customs exemption procedures and documentation requirements for imports.



Preparation of various statistical reports to the management, in addition to reports for Duty Exemption & duty

payment, damages, shortages & insurance claims.



Effectively conducted freight cost cutting by consolidating orders, quotations analysis, contracts & invoices scrutiny.



Performed as a major team player in creation and application and implementation of SAP for inbound logistics.



Verification of Service provider invoices.

Logistics Specialist - Exports



Formulated work procedure and policy and implemented logistics strategy in accordance to the business plan to

monitor each and every single order with documented history since order is placed and executed.



Starting from liaison with sales and production plant in order to process and post bookings in SAP.



Reporting monthly activity status and KPIs actual vs. targeted to logistics manager to improve overall performance.



Achievements include significant reduction in number of short shipments and rollover from 30% to less than 7%.



Responsible for sourcing and carry out logistics solutions, rate negotiation with carrier / vendors / suppliers and

freight forwarders for Tronox huge exports volume of 13,000 to 16,000 tons i.e. 450-600cntrs. Per month.



Credits successfully reduced distribution cost up to 23% to ports with high volume and in some areas up to 35%.



Processing of all shipment cost(s) in SAP with plant daily dispatch report with an ultimate aim to calculate, monitor

and reduce the Logistics Distribution Cost (LDC) of each & every individual order or delivery being placed.



To monitor positioning of empty containers at plant in accordance with tentative bookings and material readiness.



Direct coordination with shipping lines / freight agents and customs clearance team for in time clearance prior to

vessel arrival until receipt of the original carriers B/L.



Participated in application of SAP 3 module for out bound logistics, training & supervising new staff.

Education : Pre-University Education, Bangalore – Karnataka.



Computer Literacy : Diploma in Information, Technology, Microsoft office / SAP – awareness of in

bound & out bound process flow.


