About Ankur Luniya:
I am a 2015 Civil Engineering graduate from IIT Bombay ,over the last six and half years I have been part of some of the most stellar startups of India along with my own entrepreneurial stint.I am currently working with udaan where I joined as an early team member to build India's largest B2B trading platform across multiple categories - during my 5 year+ long journey with udaan I have built & led large and sustainable businesses from scratch while solving for problem areas like supply, demand, credit, product & marketing.
In the first 2 years at udaan I built & headed the supply and demand for smartphones & accessories category in South India. Hired the team, onboarded 200+ importers/distributors/wholesalers in Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad, 20k+ retailers on the platform in Karnataka and metro cities of south India. Post that I launched the IT & Accessories category from scratch at udaan, hired and headed a team of 250+ folks, onboarded 500+ sellers, 50k+ retailers across India along with large International brands such as SanDisk, Logitech, Seagate, Hikvision,HP etc on the platform making IT & Accessories a 250 cr+ annual GMV category at udaan within 2.5 years.
Before joining udaan I was leading the supply of staples category at Jumbotail for a brief period and prior to that I was city manager at ZoRooms in Mumbai.
I also started out my own venture in between with a vision to create a B2B platform in Mumbai for fresh fruits and vegetables where restaurants can get their supplies directly from farmers.
