About Apoorva Gadgil:
I am an architect turned UX strategist with over 12 years of experience spanning
UX design, research, academia, and architecture. As Head of the UX Design
Department at MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune, I built a UX program now
adopted across multiple campuses, where 95% of students prototype real
products and 60% secure industry internships by their third year.
An HFI Certified Usability AnalystTM, I bring expertise in usability evaluation,
mixed-method research, cognitive ergonomics, and ethnography, with award-
winning work on empathy and cognition published in Scopus Q3 journal. My
recent projects explore AI-driven learning systems and secure banking
usability, bridging academic rigour with applied impact.
I specialise in translating complex requirements into engaging, human-centred
solutions and have a proven record of building frameworks, mentoring teams,
and scaling UX maturity. While I position myself as a UX strategist, I am equally
open to opportunities as a UX Researcher, Usability Specialist, or Design
Mentor.
