Archana Palillam Veedu

I am an Associate Scientist at a biotechnology company, Cellworks Research, India with expertise in scoping cancer data and appending the biology into the dynamic in-silico cancer model. I did both Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology from Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita University, Kerala, India. I am interested to do PhD in Oncology.

1. May 2020 – Present - Associate Scientist - R&D, CELLWORKS PVT LTD, INDIA: Cellworks predicts personalized Cancer treatment based on the patient’s genomic data. Here, I work in the roadmap team, wherein we try to find leads for the company, by scoping current cancer literatures, understanding the biology, and appending it to the dynamic in-silico cancer model. 
2. November 2015 – March 2020 - Junior Research Fellow, AMRITA SCHOOL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, INDIA: I worked in a project focusing on biological treatment of wastewater through formulation of a microbial consortium that can outcompete the pathogenic load.
3. A six months project on “Biophysical characterization of ZnO Nanoparticles and its biomodification for improved cellular delivery”, with Dr. Munia Ganguli at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Delhi, India. 
4. A ten weeks internship on “The optimization of transfection in MCF 7 cell line” with Dr. Susan E Conrad at Michigan State University, Michigan, USA as a part of Khorana Scholarship 2014. 
5. A six months project on “Studies of probiotic strains from fermented foods and beverages in Kerala” with Dr. Sanjay Pal and Dr. Nandita Mishra at Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amritapuri, Kollam, India.
