In my previous role as a DB2 Administrator, I was responsible for managing various DB2 database tasks, including incident management, change management, and regular DB2 upgrades and RSU (refreshable service units) maintenance.

For incident management, I promptly identified and addressed issues affecting DB2 systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal database performance. In terms of change management, I was actively involved in planning and executing database changes in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring proper testing and documentation to maintain system integrity.

Additionally, I played a key role in DB2 upgrades and maintenance, ensuring that our systems remained current with the latest patches and updates, which helped in improving performance and security. I also collaborated with the scheduling team to ensure smooth insertion of new jobs, aligning schedules and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to minimize disruptions.

As part of the Disaster Recovery (DR) team, I contributed to the implementation and testing of disaster recovery plans, ensuring that data and systems could be quickly restored in the event of a disaster.
