Role: System Integration Tester

• As part of the SIT team, responsible for validating testcases for the data migrated from on-prem of the client to Azure using ADF.

• Work typically involved engaging in scrum calls, taking handovers from the developers, taking up the testing of R2F (Raw to Foundation), F2IO & E2E(end to end) objects.

• The validations generally involved tools and applications such as Synapse(cloud), Putty, Hive, SSMS & ODI developer in which I have been able to put to work my well-honed skills of SQL, PySpark and Python.

• Work also generally accompanied a lot of defect identifications wherever there were discrepancies with thorough assessment & subsequent articulation of the problem in the ADO board along with subsequent assignment to relevant developers of the code.

• Identified and rectified numerous defects through rigorous testing methodologies, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of data pipelines.

• Provided strong suggestions for quick bug resolutions which typically required a strong grip of the ADF environment and a proficient knowledge on SQL as in many cases there needed to be code corrections in the ODI(On prem query) query itself may it be some misplaced rank logic or conditions provided, which were communicated by the professional to the client with clear documentation using Microsoft word by attaching all the necessary evidence screenshots and articulate rationales and reasonings behind the proposed changes.

• Taken initiatives to assist the PMO team to help automate some of their core activities to increase efficiency and streamline processes by developing scripts to automate some of the core tasks.
