BAJI VALIYAPURAKKAL

I am Dr BAJI VALIYAPURAKKAL, a Ph.D. holder with over 25 years of experience in teaching UG & PG students in India and abroad; managing various office duties and aiding management and coordinators. Specialties include planning and holding department meetings, digitally and physically filing important documents, and conducting academic activities. Helpful, personable, and organized. Moreover, Supervised and managed staff and did administrative duties as Assistant Coordinator.

With a Ph.D. in English and over 25 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of educating undergraduate and postgraduate students in India and abroad. My journey in academia has allowed me to develop a comprehensive skill set in curriculum development, academic planning, and administrative management.
From August 2013 to August 2023, I served as the Head of the Department and Language Instructor at Jazan University in Saudi Arabia. There, I designed quizzes, exams, and course syllabi, developed learner-centered activities, and effectively managed both staff and administrative duties. My focus was always on creating an active and engaging learning environment.
Prior to my tenure at Jazan University, I worked as a Senior Lecturer at Prathibha College in Kerala, India, and as a Lecturer at Zawia University in Libya. My roles involved teaching English literature and language, supervising student projects, and participating in curriculum enhancement and academic planning.

My academic background includes a Ph.D. from Vinayaka Missions University, a Master's and Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Calicut, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Kerala. I also hold a TEFL certification, which has enhanced my ability to teach English as a foreign language.
In addition to my teaching roles, I have authored and co-authored academic publications, contributed to research in English language teaching, and evaluated Ph.D. dissertations. I pride myself on being a problem solver, a team builder, and a motivator who is committed to both professional and personal growth.
