Dr. Bishnu Prasad Muni

Experienced in product development in the area of power electronics for industrial, rail transportation, e-mobility, renewable energy, battery energy storage, FACTS, power quality, strategic application etc. Some of the developed products have been introduced in the product lines of BHEL  and being used in industries, MW range PV power plant and Indian Railways.
 

In September 1983, I joined BHEL, Corporate R&D, Hyderabad, India as Engineer Trainee and promoted to General Manager level during my tenure at Corporate R&D. I have vast experience in managing new product
development projects involving geographically distributed development teams. 

Apart from Power Electronics Lab., I also headed Electrical Machines, Permanent Magnet Machines, Insulation Technology, Switchgear Development, High voltage Engineering, Fuel Cell & Renewable Energy Laboratories at Corporate R&D during my tenure as General Manger from June 2012 to February 2020. I was also HOD for Planning & Management System, Intellectual Property and Human Resource Development Groups.

 
I have developed the following products indigenously first time in India from concept to commissioning.
