I am Dr. Chandra Kant Kaithwas, a doctorate in "IMPLICATIONS OF THERMAL AND THERMO-MECHANICAL PROCESSING INDUCED MICROSTRUCTURAL EVOLUTION ON INTERGRANULAR AND PITTING CORROSION BEHAVIOR IN ALLOY 600H", from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. A doctorate is just a roadmap of our research forte; moulding and channelizing rest on our choices. One needs a lot of passion, resilience, and determination to probe into the gravity of a topic. It’s all about learning and imparting to humanity: directly or indirectly. My work, especially in superalloy, broadens in the wide realm from all dimensional varied applications such as steam generating turbines, heat exchanger tubes, hydrogen gas tube furnaces, and the nuclear reactor, especially for its favorable combination of mechanical properties, weldability, and higher corrosion resistance. Sensitization involves the formation of chromium-rich carbides at the grain boundaries and consequent depletion of the same from the area near the boundaries. As a result, the probability of formation of protective chromium oxide becomes negligible in the areas devoid of chromium thus increasing the vulnerability to corrosion attack. In this regard, grain boundary engineering (GBE) has emerged as a great method to suppressed. During all processes,

I have done M.Tech and PhD in Metallurgical and Materials Engg. My doctorate was on "IMPLICATIONS OF THERMAL AND THERMO-MECHANICAL PROCESSING INDUCED MICROSTRUCTURAL EVOLUTION ON INTERGRANULAR AND PITTING CORROSION BEHAVIOR IN ALLOY 600H", I have done lot of characterization like EBSD, SEM, XRD, Potentiostat, Origin, Office, Excel, Xpert high score and OIM Analysis.
