I am Chetan Sugandh, a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of experience specializing in fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for private equity and alternative investment funds. My career has been shaped by my roles at Preqin India Pvt. Ltd. (a BlackRock company) and Goldman Sachs Services Pvt. Ltd., where I honed my skills in delivering accurate financial reporting and operational efficiencies. I am passionate about ensuring compliance with US GAAP, managing NAV calculations, and coordinating audits to support my clients' financial objectives.

In my current role as an Associate at Preqin India Pvt. Ltd., I manage the administration of open-ended private equity funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing operational processes. I collaborate with the Treasury and Insights teams to analyze bank reconciliations and investee fund transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records. I lead the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly NAVs, focusing on secondary fund-of-fund investments, and manage the creation of financial statements adhering to US GAAP. My role also involves facilitating client calls, developing compliance reporting processes, and mentoring new team members to foster a high-performance culture. 
 

As an Associate in the Fund Accounting Team at Goldman Sachs, I spearheaded the management and analysis of private equity mezzanine and senior credit loan funds. I orchestrated the preparation and review of investment valuations and supervised the compliance of financial statements with US GAAP. My responsibilities included compiling Capital Statements for investors, coordinating management fees, and formulating P&L forecasts. I also led the invoicing process team and facilitated communication with key stakeholders, ensuring timely financial reporting and adherence to compliance standards.

During my articleship at Vikash A. Jain & Co., I compiled and finalized client accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. I prepared and filed statutory documents, conducted audits for various companies, and coordinated compliance processes to ensure timely submission of regulatory documentation.
