Designation: Genesis Anchoring Manager
The role is part of the Genesis Anchoring team for Balance Sheet Accounts in Mumbai Finance for EMEA/APAC region.
Job profile:
GENESIS reconciliation process consists of reconciling Product Processor contractual level data is in line to DMART reported financial balances in PEARL. This process supports downstream consumers such as Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, RWA and Ruby for consumptions and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) commitments.
To ensure the integrity of Citi’s Balance Sheet by preparing robust reconciliations to control and remediate Data Quality issues and General Ledger manual adjustments challenges.
Key responsibilities:
• Reviewing Genesis reconciliations breaks between Pearl and Product Processor data mismatch for LOANS product (Consumer and Commercial Loans).
• We raise INC for breaks related to Data-Quality issue with detail investigation also Analyze, investigate data issue and for Manual adjustment issue, we send email to requestor/Exception owner for contractual level details to clear breaks in Genesis.
• Prioritise Regulatory Reporting Inventory breaks on Loans FDL for Earning release and Risk Weighted Assets and Capital Adequacy Ratiorelated break in Aggregator reports impacting unmatched exposure and credit risk system CitiRisk/Optima.
• Template accurately reflects the intended balance correction, attributes as outlined in the supporting documentation; All required data elements in the template are complete and correct Customer Data Elements to utilized valid GFCID (Global Finance Customer ID) and GFRN (Global Facility Reference Number) which impact RWA for CITI.
• General Ledger correction will reduce the variance in the GENESIS break reconciliation issues and there is sufficient justification to process the correction entries in Ledger.
• Credit decisions on loan product processor ensuring adhering to risk policies and guidelines and Performed loans reconciliation which was used to conduct comprehensive credit risk assessment for stakeholders.
• Ensure that all adjustments posted in GENESIS are reviewed for correct attributes and contracts level details are approved within timeline by me to further process by Data Management Ops.
• FullSuite Integration and L2G enrichment balances issues highlighted with Feed details Data Quality concern also with INC raise for issues pertaining to data reconciliation, data validation, data quality between Product processor, Upstream & Downstream systems.
• Accurate reporting for Recon key status of the reconciliations owned into Citi reporting tool ‘eRecon.’
• Working closely with Operations, Country controller and Product Control for Product processer transactions details for US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting which originate from PP data flows to Local Ledger /FFS and data missing in Genesis.
• Raise INC to provide Genesis DI/DA with relevant details to identify the root cause and potential strategic solution moving forward to resolve the break permanently aged MTC tagged for DCRM requirement for strategic fix plan.
• Escalating incorrect GL account related issues to Country Controller, Account owner and Balance Sheet Control Group and follow-up for resolution of pending breaks due to Manual adjustment and Data quality.
• Preparing PO matrix for Post-mortem calls for Open breaks related to RWA/Optima/ Ruby and Unsubstantiated keys marked as Redaccounts, Incorrect Pearl Amount in ‘eRecon’ Citi reporting tool.
• Consumer Loans has multiple Feed issues related to Credit cards, Mortgage and Personal Loans feeds and accounts related to IENC for multiple Products feeds.
• Handling the team of 3 proof owner in Loans Product – Commercial &Consumer Loans.
• Preparation of MCA (Managers Control Assessment) keys from selection to validating the process and sending it to R&C for review.
• SPOC for Global Wide Area Disaster testing for the BSA Genesis keys with site Costa Rica and Manila BSA Team.
Achievements: -
• Pilot batch for the Genesis Implementation process in 2018 for Mumbai site as Proof Owner for Deposit later moved to Checker role for the Loans/Deposit products.
• Migrated eRecon full keys for Balance sheet substantiation for Israel and South Africa accounts.

• Being a partner with the cost control/decision support teams GFS India and Hongkong Business to implement best practices across APAC for expense booking, month close and robust balance sheet reconciliation.
• Analyzing the cost base and posting accurate accruals to ensure the numbers are correct and not under or over accrued in the books.
• Reconciliation and Substantiation of Balance Sheet, ageing of various items on Balance Sheet and clearing of aged items.
• To identify and implement ideas related to automation, standardization, and error proofing and efficiency improvement for process, particularly the potential for synergies various teams.
• Financial Delivery monthly expense accruals, fixed asset accounting, Cost recharge process and legal entity cost allocations, Intercompany accounting and reconciliation, Balance sheet accounts reconciliation & attestation.
• Efficiency and Cost Management: Drive disciplined cost management and a culture of cost consciousness and operational excellence across the firm; Participate/ initiate lean transformation projects for automation / improvement; Ensure timely analysis of various cost & drivers to ensure same is in line with company’s objectives and any material variance are appropriately highlighted.
• Performing the missed entries in Oracle to SGL entries as out of book adjustment after Month end close.
• Working closely with Finance controller for the accurate booking of cost base and GL accounts reporting.
• Continuous Improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, and processes for our customers. Implement ideas after careful evaluation of impact, benefits, risk and controls.
• Interco Debtors and Creditors Aging Schedule to GFRC team for the Intercompany break on costs related to Intercompany and other Business-related recharges.
• Follow up with counterparty for intercompany reimbursement of expenses communicated to them.
• Aging report of Accrual, Prepayment, Other Debtors and Other Creditors in Finance Cost MI Pack.
• MOM matrix for Month end Expense review by Division/BU before closing General Ledger.
• Work with line manager to identify opportunity to reduce the cost & improve the efficiencies by Automation.
