I am  having  33 years of varied   Administrative  and Academic experience (in both Government & Private Sector) at various capacities such as  Vice- Chancellor/President ( 7 Years), Pro-Vice Chancellor (1Year),  Dean, Principal of the  Post Graduate Engineering Colleges/Management Schools with Integrated Campus( 7 Years), Dean, Controller of Examinations, Asst. General Manager (IDBI, Mumbai)and Senior Engineer in Chemical Industry with Nitta Gelatin Incorporated, Japan(Former K.C.P.L). I had managed both Teachers and  students from 20 countries across the world,   by staying with  them in the Integrated campus by shouldering the additional responsibilities as the Chief Warden for a total period of more than about 20 years at various Institutions across the country( Both in Northern and Southern regions of India).

In addition to the above,   I am  also empaneled in "Collegium of NAAC Assessors",    in the capacity of  “Chairperson” during the   Inspections conducted for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of the University Grants Commission(UGC),Govt. of India. I am also well exposed to  the Outcome Based Education(O.B.E) ,NBA Accreditation, NIRF, Global rankings and  ratings - The Times Higher Education Ranking, QS World University Rankings, Shanghai Academic Ranking etc. I am well exposed in  entering into   MOUs( Functional) with various Universities abroad, Corporates and  International Associations in the Higher Education Sector.

At present ( from April 5, 2021), I am serving as the Education and Examination Reforms Expert of the Government of Bihar(Bihar Vikas Mission)/Education Dept., reporting directly to the Additional Chief Secretary( Education).

I have an illustrious academic career as the  Founder President of Dr.K.N Modi University, Rajasthan, India, Vice-Chancellor of of St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research(SPIHER),  a Deemed to be University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and Vice Chancellor of Bhagwant University, Rajasthan, India,  Chairman of the Board  of Studies in Engineering at Kannur Govt. University in Kerala, Controller of Examinations , Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, a Deemed to be University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Principal of Lal Bahadur Shastri College( a Kerala Govt. Undertaking ) . Principal of Hindustan College of Engineering, at Chennai, Tamil Nadu,  Principal of Viswajyothi College of Engineering, Science and Technology in Kerala,  Dean in Lovely Professional University at Jalandhar in Punjab,  etc.

My first stint in academics was as an  Associate Professor (Management Studies)   with  Manipal Academy of Higher Education( a Deemed to be University declared as Institution of Eminence by the Govt.of India , NIRF Ranking 2021: 7) at  Manipal  in Karnataka.

Prior to that I had served in Industry(as Senior Engineer-Process Control, Project Management/ Research & Development  for 9 years with Nitta Gelatin Inc.Japan, Mitsubshi Corporation, Japan and K.S.I.D.C,  (Former K.C.P.L) manufacturing pharmaceutical grade Gelatin and in  Finance (as Assistant General Manager –Venture Capital Financing, Public Relations and Economic Research for   3 years in Industrial Development Bank of India Mumbai , then the country’s premier and globally the 7th Development Financial Institution) 

 I was recruited as the youngest Principal in India   in the Government Sector at the age of 37 years, in 2002 (Principal of Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering,Kasaragode,Kerala) . Moreover, I was ranked No.1 in the country at the age of 33 years in 1997   (Direct recruitment in the General Category as  Asst.General Manager(Technical cadre) in IDBI, Mumbai.

Even though, I was earlier shortlisted and invited for personal interactions, for the position of the “Director of Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata(2013), Member Secretary of A.I.C.T.E(2011)” I was unable to attend both due to  some unavoidable professional commitments.

 To sum up, I  will be of immense use in developing your  Institution as a globally competitive and respected Organization. I can strive for excellence in Academics, particularly to find and retain talent, motivate,  build teams and deal with academic and administrative issues tactfully but firmly. These  attributes of mine, I am confident, will be of an asset to your  University  in the Capacity of   Vice-Chancellor.I consider this as an opportunity where my 33 years of Experience and Expertise can complement the pursuit  of the  University in Maharashtra   for taking  into   greater heights.
