About GAURAV KULSHRESTHA:

Working in R&D of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, I am engine development & testing expert. I have a team of 22 persons who are involved in engine calibration & emission testing. 

I am also responsible for new test Facility planning. This includes planning of equipment, it's building layout, procurement, installation & commissioning. This activity is a project based activity involving coordination with suppliers, Supply chain, negotiations, ensuring cost & quality in all aspects. 

I have experience of 37 years at Maruti Suzuki. 14 years in Production & 23 years in R&D. 

Experience

Project management - either green field or brown field. 

Involves identifying R&D test facility requirement, planning building for equipment, procurement through Supply Chain department, support in negotiations for procurement, installation, commissioning & rate negotiation for AMC. 

Education

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Kanyapur Polytechnic, Asansol (West Bengal Board of Technical Education) in 1985.
