My background spans excellent experience overseeing areas such as day-to-day operations, curriculum development, partnership building, and standard setting for both students and staff to realise improved academic performance while providing comprehensive support to school principal. From conducting teacher evaluations and managing budgets to visiting classrooms in person and maintaining detailed records, I excel at facilitating strategic initiatives and enhancements to drive goal achievement while communicating openly with instructors, staff, parents, and other stakeholders to build consensus.

My skill set includes leadership, critical thinking and problem solving to complement the organisation and help in the smooth functioning of the school. I thrive in fast-paced, dynamic and rapidly changing environment and known for being a team player.

Highlights of my experience include the following:

Planning and administering budgets, policies, and procedures while supervising administrative, operational, and educational personnel and a student population of approximately 2500 for the past 14 years.

Overseeing operational areas such as student behaviour challenges/discipline, graduation and other special events, community service programs, and new teacher recruitment/hiring. “Give Back” program offering an alternative to out-of-school with local non-profit organisations.

Maintaining daily attendance records and fulfilling all state-mandated student accounting tasks.

Producing and continually updating annual student handbook of school policies, rules, and regulations.

Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES ENTRUSTED

EDUCATION PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION•

• Preparation of the School timetable, allocation of duties and teaching load of the teachers in their respective sections.

• Providing necessary facilities to the teachers in their sections in the delegation of their duties.

• Conducting School and Board examinations.

• Promotion and detention of students in consultation with the Principal.

• Discipline in her particular section of the school, in consultation with the Principal.

• Plan the year’s academic work in consultation with the staff and hold staff meetings at least once in a fortnight to review the work done and assess the progress of the pupils.

• Be responsible for curriculum implementation, assessment of syllabi, textbooks and prescribe changes in the above with the approval of the Governing Body.

• Observe classroom teaching and secure co-operation and coordination amongst teachers of the same subject areas as well as inter subject co-ordination.

• Monitor and track the progress of educationally weak students and report these findings to the Principal and thus ensure growth and educational excellence through equal opportunities. Implementation of various strategies for the same. For example, arranging for special remedial teaching of the students.

• Plan and specify a regular timetable for the scrutiny of student’s written work and home assignments and ensure that the assessment and corrections are carried out effectively and on time.

• Organise and co-ordinate various non-academic activities through the House system or in such other ways as she may think fit in consultation with the Governing Body.

• Develop and organise the library resources and reading facilities & ensure that the students & teachers have access to books and journals of established value and usefulness.

• Ensure that a growing social awareness is developed in the students, through on-going, planned outreach programs.

• Send the progress reports of the students regularly to the parents or guardians.

• Send an Annual Report of different section to the Principal to appraise him/her of achievements and challenges, and areas of needed support in her section of the school.

HUMAN RELATIONS DEVELOPMENT

• Help and guide teachers to promote their professional growth, and towards this end actively encourage their participation in courses designed for in-service training and development. This should be done in consultation with the Principal and the Governing Body.

• Work together with the Governing Body in promoting team spirit and staff morale through programs and systems for clearly determined two-way line of communication.

• Opportunities for communication between and among staff, students and parents through regular meetings.

• Be responsible for their own professional and personal development by availing of relevant resource opportunities which will give exposure to the new trends in education, school management, communication and personal skill development.

• Motivate, guide and supervise the work of the teaching staff of the school
