• Let me introduce as I am Jaisankar Pichamuthu PhD, I have received my doctoral degree (PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry & Medicinal Chemistry) in December 2005 under the eminent guidance of Dr. P. C. Srinivasan, Former Head and Professor in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Madras, India.

• The Title of Doctoral my research was carried out in the versatile area of total / multistep synthesis of Indole alkaloids and natural products; thus, appropriate synthetic routes were designed and worked by me on bench for the synthesis of large number of Carbazoles, β-Carbolines, nonlinear Ellipticine analogs and bifunctionalanal cyanoindoles.

• These Indole alkaloids are found to be possessing significant biological and pharmaceutical properties such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, benzodiazepine receptors, vasoconstrictors, DNA intercalators and Agrochemical applications
