• – Jayanta Ray is a Senior Manager heading Projects Team with Peerless Hotels Limited and is based in HO in Kolkata and responsible for the execution and complete project management of 4 star/3 star Hotels under Peerless Hotels Division. He has 27 years of experience in Project Delivery from scratch to finish with multiple team members in Hotel Construction as well as large scale of renovation and retrofitting projects. 1. Senior Manager (Projects) | Peerless Hotels Limited | March 2011 – Present 

• Ensured execution and handover of 4 star/3 star Hotel projects. Have done complete project management, site management, execution, coordination, billing, contracts and application of correct methodologies of construction to all agencies engaged at site 
• Handling all agencies ( Civil contractor, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, MEP) at site, supervision of the whole civil job like foundation to super structure work, finishing work & final hand over of the project with all necessary coordination with all vendors on day-to-day basis at site. 
• Extended support for development of project schedules, master project budget and monitoring the same with respect to project cost and resource deployment 
• Checking the monthly work program schedule submitted by contractor prior to every month to compare it with approved MSP schedule, preparing monthly labour requirement at site, quantity achievement comparison between previous & current month to calculate back-log & preparing its mitigation plan.
• Prepared daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and conducted weekly progress review meetings with civil team, contractors & consultant to identify bottlenecks/hold-points 
• Coordinate with In-house planning team & consultant regarding drawing issue, deviation etc.

1. Spencer’s Retail limited (RPG RETAIL): Worked as Manager- Projects (Head Projects-East) May-2007 to March/2011 with the responsibility of entire project management of small, medium & big format stores, managing the complete fit-out & services required for the stores, updating the GM-Projects on the day to day progress of work, also preparing budgetary part, Cash flow, vendor development, rate negotiation & other necessary activities for smooth execution of ongoing projects. Monitor & pursue vendors/contractors to deliver all bought out items and close their scope of work within deadline. Take initiative to develop new vendor and educate them to maintain the time frame and quality of materials and service delivered. Issuing purchase orders through SAP-PS module. Handling the entire contract & tender related documentation including creation of budget using SAP-PS module. Processing the bills including necessary documentation through SAP-PS. Finalizing the rates of civil/interior, HVAC & service related works after negotiations, reviewing the scope of tender & then getting the budget approved

1. Bengal Unitech Universal (UNITECH LIMITED): October 2006- May2007-Overall responsibility for managing the day to day activities at site. Handling all site related issues, preparing project reports & schedules & updating General Manager (Construction) about the progress of the work. Also checking of quality of RCC work, arranging ready mix concrete on a regular basis ensuring daily progress of concreting to be at per with schedule. Co-ordinate and follow up with consultant/Architect to release all drawings and resolving drawing related issues. I have done complete coordination & project management for the residential projects.

1. Has worked with Pantaloon Retail India Limited : June 2006 – November 2006 as Senior Project Engineer looking after all Civil/Electrical works, HVAC ducting works & interior fit-outs, finishing & furnishing works. Co-ordinate and follow up with consultant/Architect to release all drawings and resolving drawing & site related issues.

1. NCR Corporation (I) Pvt Ltd: February 2003 – June 2006 Supervision, monitoring & overall coordination of installation of ATM’s. Looking at the qualitative aspects such as paneling work, false ceiling, vitrified tiles flooring, granite cladding work & electrical circuits. I have done complete project management for all the projects.

1. Lutheran World service (I): September 1995 –February 2003 Supervision & estimation of Housing projects i.e single & double storied buildings, school cum cyclone shelter project in Orissa after super-cyclone (three-storied),stilt type cyclone resistant & earthquake resistant buildings. Irrigation & small hydraulic infrastructures like diversion weir & check dam. Looking at the qualitative aspects like flooring, plastering, Granite cladding & finishing works for column & beam. Also having experience of large scale repairing/ renovation work-s for basic community infrastructures

1. Tuscon construction Company: May 1995 – September 1995 Site supervision of Housing Project at Durgapur mainly single storied & double storied building. To see whether the work is done according to plan & design.
