Network Engineer II – ORACLE CERNER | Bangalore- India | June 2021 – Till date. 

Responsibilities: • F5 VIP reclaim: Identifying the offline/unused VIPs and expired certificate and removing them from all the F5s in the network by getting proper approval from client owners. Automation: Developed an automation script, API calls to gather the active and offline VIPs and expired Certificate from the F5 and save the details in an excel sheet. This reduces the manual login to devices and gathering information.

 • VTY ACL: Allowing device access for a new subnet in all network devices in order to replace the old Public IP which was no longer belong to company. After adding to all network devices, the PAT rule in firewall will be changed. Automation: Developed a script for collection and configuration of VTY ACL information from the Cisco Nexus and ASR 9K series network device and collect the information in an excel sheet. This reduces the manual effort and error on login to the device. 

• F5 upgrade: Upgraded the F5 from 12.1.x to 15.1.5.1 version, to mitigate security Vulnerability. Planned and organised the upgrade by taking downtime during off hours and completed around 70 devices without any issues which was recognized and rewarded by organisation.

 • Cisco ASA Firewall Migration: Upgraded the device from 8.2.x to 8.4.x. Validated the configuration. Replaced the boxes with New Hardware boxes.

 • SNMP monitoring: Fixed the connection between OpenNMS and F5, this fixed 200+ F5 monitoring in OpenNMS. 

Technology Analyst – Infosys Ltd | Bangalore-India | December 2016 – June 2021 

Responsibilities:

 • 1000+ Cisco ASA, FXOS(FTD and ASA platform) & Juniper firewalls; implementation of firewall rules; traffic flow analysis through Packet capture and packet tracer. • Firewall IOS up gradation, patch up gradation: ASA, SRX and FTD.

 • Handling L2 escalation on all the Network Security related issues over on all client locations and subsidiaries 

• Creation of role-based VPN profiles for Cisco SSL VPN, restricting user privileges and policy configurations. Creating pool, Pool members and monitoring. Have knowledge on splittunnelling concept.

 • Troubleshooting Cisco AnyConnect VPN issues, VPN SSL tunnel, Browser based connectivity issues, policy configuration. Creating pool, Pool members, Monitoring and troubleshooting. 

• Responsible Monthly/Quarterly/half yearly/Annual Security Audit report and Remediation (STAR TASK). Performing the vulnerability assessment on firewalls across the estate through Scripts and contemplating a strong action plan to handle detected vulnerabilities. 

• Managed employee training for 3 new hires, over a period of 3months offering continuous guidance and mentorship on best practices while providing constructive feedback. IPSEC -Site to Site tunnel Migration Project (December 2019 to June 2020): 

• Leading a 3-member team, where I have completed migrating 40+ IPSEC tunnels (ExxonMobil to client partner network) with proper planning and implementation. 

• Coordinated between teams (Users, Application team, server teams) during the migration. • Completed the project as exactly requested by Client without any hindrance which was recognized by the Client.

 • Also worked on establishing a GRE tunnel over IPSEC
