The NOC engineer monitors and executes the daily operational activities needed to manage IT services and the supporting IT infrastructure. According to Job Hero, a NOC engineer monitors large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location or remotely.

• Permitting Remote access to end user’s through KVM Device.
• Kick start Installation manually.

• Configured NIC Teaming, RAID, IDRAC IP in dell servers and ILO in HP servers.

Monitoring Operations:

• Provides L1 technical support and monitors day to day operations of Network Operation Centre’s.
• Raise tickets in the tool from the information received by customer on call or via email and perform the first level troubleshooting for all types of infrastructure (mostly network, storage and servers) issues.
• Coordinates and assists in service maintenance activities along with L-2 & L-3 team representatives.
• Knowledge in end-to-end core network infrastructure monitoring and management (EX: Traffic utilization, latency, packet loss etc.)
• Device Health Monitoring (Interface error, CPU/memory utilization etc.)
• Monitoring the servers like Windows, Linux and Cloud servers from the OMI tool.
• Monitoring the server parameters like Bandwidth Utilization, Latency, host down, memory and CPU alerts etc.
• To resolve basic and common issues on the first call and escalates issues requiring urgent attention by L-2 and L-3 team representatives or 3rd party vendors for expeditious troubleshooting and resolution of reported incidents.
• Worked on hardware related issues on switches and replacement of hardware failure.
• Worked on Interface related issues input/output errors and slowness on network.
• Worked on HP devices, CISCO devices and HP NNMI tool.
• Using Network Node Manager, (NNMI) tool for finding details and generating the below reports.
  • To find out the MPLS link, bandwidth & circuit id details of the link.
  • To check traceroute & ping response of the device from NNMI
  • To check the details of source node and source object
  • To check the incidents auto closed by NNMI and manual closed.
  • To check first and last incident time & occurrence time.
  • To generate individual node reports in NPS (NNM ISPI Performance)
  • To generate generic reports for all nodes & interface with different time intervals in NPS
• Coordinating with service providers like Verizon, Century link, Airtel and Tata etc., for raising/logging the ISP ticket if any ISP Link goes down
• Work with the teams in identifying optimal Downtime planning.
• Coordinating with change management by initiating change activity, sending change notification and Provide support till change gets completed.
• Using VMware vSphere to decommission the VM’s 
• Using AWS console to IAM, EC2(support)
• Involving in the severity when the users get impacted due to an unscheduled outage happens by opening a Bridge call and discussing about the outage with the support team, service owners and MIM’s, then sending the unscheduled outage notification. When the issue gets fixed sending resolved notification and closing the bridge call.
