Technical Purview:

• Development of Instrumentation Design Basis document, review of Tender document, MR & BOQ, review & development of P&ID’s, FEED (Front End Engineering Design).
• Having exposure on DCS (Yokagawa, Siemens, Emerson, ABB),BMS, ELV system, PLC’s, Woodward governors & SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation)–Intergraph.
• Designing and detail engineering exposure on following industrial instruments: 

       i.) Control Systems: DCS, ESD, BMS, PID controller, PLC, Fire & Gas detection system.

ii.) Transmitters: Temperature, Flow, Level, Pressure, Load cell, Position Sensor, Analyzers (SO2, O2, N2), Refractometer, SPM analyzer, COD-BOD-TSS analyzer, PH analyzer, vibration analyzer.

iii.) Pneumatic Instruments: Pressure Gauges, Pressure Switches, Control Valves, SOV.

• Having exposure to the instrumentation System for the processes & services like- Hydrogen, H2S & H2SO4, CS2, natural gas, toxic gases, Nano-tech processes, BTG, Reactors, etc.

           Key Projects and Assignment Handled:

• Greenfield Project: Currently Leading Instrumentation team in the project of IOCL R&D center- II at Faridabad that consist multiple Pilot Plants (Nano Tech, PTL) and Labs. I am leading the overall design and detail engineering activities of instrumentation. (Jan 2022- Present)
• Brownfield Project: Designing of control philosophy, Commissioning of steam turbine blower in Sulphuric acid plant at OCCL that include Woodward Peak200 governor, PLC, vibration & speed system (May 2022- Oct 2022).
• Greenfield project: At Kansai Nerolac Paint handled the designing & Commissioning activities such as P&ID review, PFD review, DCS (ABB 800xA) commissioning and to review the control philosophy of whole plant that include Pigging, powder conveying systems, MOFA system(April 2019- Oct 2022) .
• Brownfield project: Lead the Instrumentation team for DCS commissioning (Emerson DELTA-V) at Good Luck Carbon which includes designing, detail engineering, designing of control system Architecture selection and designing, design the interlock philosophy, process sequences, FAT, SAT, TBE, along with this selection and sizing of field instruments (May 2018 – March 2019) .
• Brownfield project: Selection of the field instruments for the greenfield, brown field projects of 110T/H boiler, 16 MW turbine at Kuantum Paper Limited(July 2017-April 2018).

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

Jan 2023 to Present

Manager Instrumentation in Shapoorji Pallonji at green field project of IOCL R&D center and Pilot Plants.

• To execute designing and detail engineering activities of instrumentation for Pilot plant and gas services.
• To develop the overall architecture of control system, ESD, F&G, BMS, ELV integration.
• Currently, I am working on Instrumentation Design Basis document, study of Tender documents, MR & BOQ, review & development of P&ID’s, FEED (Front End Engineering Design).

          April 2022 to Jan 2023

Assistant Manager Instrumentation in Oriental Carbon and Chemical Limited. 

• To design instrumentation system for the projects such as Insoluble sulphur, Sulphuric acid unit (H2SO4), Turbine, turbo blower.
• To execute the projects and to select the instruments as per the process specification.

April 2019 to April 2022

Sr. Officer Instrumentation at Kansai Nerolac Pvt Ltd.

• To perform TBE, control narrative defining, hook-ups, vendor selection, HAZOP study.
• Review the documents like Instrumentation design basis and develop control philosophy.
• I handled the Project activities such as DCS commissioning, taking systems handover, to verify as built documents and the pre trails to take plant in line.

June 2018 to April 2019

Sr. Manager Instrumentation at Good Luck Carbon Pvt. Ltd. 

• To design the interlock philosophy of the carbon black plant which consists of Reactors, Tank farm area, Pulse jet filter, Dryers, Palletizing.
• To execute the project DCS commissioning and selection, installation of field instruments for the whole plan.
• Lead the team in greenfield and brownfield projects that consist of commissioning of measuring and control system for the whole carbon black plant that include selection and sizing of transmitter, valves, Hook-up diagrams, installation.

Feb 2016 to May 2018

Officer Instrumentation at Power House of Kuantum Paper Ltd, Hoshiarpur. 

• To do designing and detail engineering for the projects and create Instrumentation design basis for project.
• To execute project and modification activities in Power House which includes a Boiler of 60 Ton/h, two numbers of 25 ton/h Boiler, Recovery Boiler of 25 tons/h, Recovery Unit, ETP, Turbine of - 10 MW, 5 MW, 1 MW.

Oct 2011 to Jan 2016

Instrumentation Engineer at Indian Acrylics Ltd, Sangrur. 

• To execute the project and modification activities of the whole plant which includes Recovery Unit, Reactors, Polymer Dryer, Six Boilers of capacity 40 ton/h to 20 ton/h, Turbine of - 8 MW, 6 MW, 1 MW, WTP, ETP, Utility, Spinning, R&D labs.
• Provide Feed forward, feedback control & PID tuning according to process requirements.
