Hello, I’m Lakshmi Chandiran, an MDS graduate in Periodontology with a BDS background. I have a deep passion for advancing in the field of dentistry, particularly in managing complex dental procedures and contributing to oral health programs. With a comprehensive skill set that includes managing dental OPDs, performing root canal therapy, interpreting dental radiographs, and excelling in various surgical techniques, I thrive in both clinical and theoretical environments.

I am highly adaptable and enjoy working across different departments to handle diverse patient needs. Challenges excite me, and I approach every task with dedication, determination, and a willingness to learn. I believe in continuous self-improvement and aim to stay at the forefront of dental advancements.

In addition to my professional skills, I have a keen interest in reading, traveling, and drawing, which help me maintain a balanced and creative mindset. My goal is to further develop my expertise in restorative dentistry, surgical procedures like implant placements, and community dental health initiatives, while making a meaningful impact in my field.

I have two years of experience at VATS Maternity and Dental Care, where I gained valuable expertise in managing dental OPDs, performing root canal therapies, interpreting dental radiographs, and handling a wide range of dental procedures. During my time there, I developed strong communication skills and the ability to handle diverse patient needs in a busy, dynamic environment.

As part of my role, I was responsible for conducting routine dental check-ups, performing restorative and preventive procedures, and assisting with oral surgeries. I also contributed to patient education and habit counseling, particularly in tobacco cessation programs. This experience helped me build a solid foundation in clinical dentistry while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

In addition, I have been involved in organizing dental health programs and improving patient care, which has strengthened my leadership and organizational skills.

I hold a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Periodontology, a field that has equipped me with advanced knowledge and practical skills in managing periodontal diseases, performing surgical procedures, and enhancing overall oral health. This program provided me with a comprehensive understanding of restorative techniques, surgical skills, and patient management.

Prior to my MDS, I completed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), where I developed a strong foundation in general dentistry, including diagnostics, preventive care, and treatment planning. My education has enabled me to work proficiently in diverse clinical settings and treat a wide range of dental issues, with a particular focus on periodontics and restorative dentistry.
