Dr. Makarand Upadhyaya a thorough educationalist and specialises in the field of Marketing. His present profile is as an Associate Professor, Department of Management and Marketing, College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain, Bahrain. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, in 2010. He has accomplished his master’s and bachelor’s degree along with, PGDPM and PGDCA from Vikram University, Ujjain. Having more than 25 years of combined experience in industry and academia. He also has been connected to well know universities as Jazan University, Mexico-Universidad de las Americas, Indian Institute of Health Management, MITS and BITS-Pilani. He has Extensively travelled around the globe. Awarded / felicitated with Faculty Distinguished Scholarship Award in 2007 by the Research Council, India and many more such accomplishments on his list. His areas of research fall within the domains of Marketing Strategies, Consumer Behaviour and

He has authored books in his field of specialisation to name some books: 75 years of Industrial, Infrastructural and Logistics Development in India : 1947-48 to 2021- 22 ; Leadership : Find Your Way to Lead - 2020; Lead: Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) and Economic Development: Theory and Recent Experiences; Marketing Management: Concepts, Theories and Practices; Marketing Strategies and Management: Sector Analysis; and Media Planning: Impact of TV Advertisements on Children.
Dr. Upadhyaya has penned more than 200 articles in various well know journal internationally on current marketing trends and its impact on consumers. To add on to his credit he is the chairperson and keynote speaker at the forums on business strategies and economic growth. He has conducted more than 40 training and development sessions on client relationships, behavioral aspects of the overseas market, stress management, interpersonal skills, and team building for senior and junior level corporate managers. He also is a guide and mentor to students pursuing Ph.D. and MBA courses. He is a sport enthusiastic and fond of participating cricket and basketball too.

I am Makarand Upadhyaya, PhD. (Marketing Management), with a profound vast experience and qualification required for the profile vacant. I am strongly committed to the area of academics with 15 years of academic and 12 years of industrial experience to my credit. I teach Marketing courses- Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Sales and Distribution Management, Advertising Management, Retail Management, Consumer Behavior, Services marketing, and Marketing Management. My current work assignment is with the University of Bahrain, College of Business Administration (AACSB accredited), Bahrain. To mention a few of my accomplishments, I have published more than 150 papers in various international journals, including Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC-indexed journals. Along with this, I have also authored 13 books on management and marketing and guided more than 140 scholars for MBA thesis and PhDs.
