About MANJUSHA Manjusha:
Flight is a cardinal fascination for me and for many aerospace engineers who are awe-inspired and galvanized by it. We can move through water without boats and move across land without cars, but we can’t fly without machines. We can walk by taking a single step and swim by holding our breath, but to fly, we have to outsmart nature. This very thought inspired me and made me curious about the science of flight which propelled me towards the profession of aerospace engineering.
I had studied control systems, aircraft stability and control, etc as the main subject in my undergraduate program. Aerospace made me stay closer to the powerful machines and space engines. During my time at Amity University, I got to learn a lot. And not just in terms of engineering, but in terms of leadership, teamwork and life. I was the class representative for two years and was the president of the sponsorship team of the college fest. Taking aerospace as an undergraduate course was a good choice as it helped me get close to super machines and aircraft working a lot. I, now, very well understand the intricate processes going on in a UAV that runs drones and aircraft.
During my time at Amity University, I have completed a lot of work-related internships. The most challenging of them was the Indian Navy- internship. As an intern, we did extensive research on autonomous vehicles and studied their functioning. The internship was about making a prototype of Tethered Underwater Vehicle for the Indian navy. I was able to acquire consummate knowledge about a tethered underwater vehicle. It was semi-autonomous that ignited me about the unexplored sector of autonomous Drones and underwater vehicles. The research work was a lot but it was worth it as I got to learn about so many new things I didn’t know before. More than aerospace, I learned how to do fruitful, effective research work in less time and it helps me a lot while learning new things.
Constant research work and internships made me perform extensive research. I am a fast- learner and can absorb a thing. I have a keen mind with a never-dying hunger to know more. My utter passion for aerospace engineering makes me want to learn more about it and make it a career choice.
I maintained 8.6 CGPA throughout my 3rd year. I am smart, intelligent and a hard-working person. I participated in debates in my school days. I am a part of an aerospace club at my college where we make UAV and fixed-wing aircraft. I created a UAV with my team members and built a fixed-wing aircraft for IIT Ropar 2020 fest. We learned so many things through our club whether it would be designing or electronics or as simple as resource management. I learned important skills like how to work in a team and manage your time, handling college studies and club activities and further participated in extra co-curricular activities.
I was in the sponsorship team of college youth fest.
My purpose in applying for this internship is to expand my knowledge in the field I’m most keen about. Ever since childhood, I find myself playing with paper planes or looking at the air jets in the sky and wonder how they work. This little childhood dream grew into a serious passion for Aerospace. This institution will help me pursue knowledge and build career opportunities in the UAV industry.
Your company’s internship research program about UAV caught my eye immediately. I have to say; I loved the work there and would love to study more about the topic. My focus of interest has always been drones, hence, I’m applying to your company.
I would like to conclude with the reasons to apply to your company for my internship. After having gone through the details of the facilities available at your company, I feel that they are necessary to my fields of interest and it is certainly the right place to embark upon my academic career.
I am fully aware that a career in research and academics requires a high level of intelligence, dedication and a lot of sacrifices. I am confident that I would meet all the above demands.
