Hi! My name is Nandja Chopra. As an architect, I bring design skills to the table and as an urban designer, I bring the human element to the front line. My work spans various sectors in almost six years of practice such as research,  designing, construction, and teaching at various stages of growth in my career. I am a motivated individual who likes to keep learning. I have completed “Urban Design for Public Good” and “Rethink the City: New Approaches to Global and Local Urban Challenges”, online certifications both floated by the University of TU DELFT, Netherlands before doing my post-graduation in Urban Design studies. I have also collaborated on various research, on-ground experiments/surveys, and hands-on programs with UNESCO, the Indian Heritage Cities Network, DAAD Germany, the University of Strasbourg, Udaipur, the Rajasthan City government, Maharana Pratap Charitable Trust, etc.I have also been part of PITStudio, 2015, a one-month rigorous research and immersive architectural design studio with national and international participants. The projects based on context and urban regionalism were carried out in three different Indian cities and were mentored by architects Mona-Doctor Pingel, Rajesh Ranganathan, and Gurjit Singh Matharoo. The studio was a life-changing experience as we got to be mentored by Pritzker Prize 2018 recipient, Architect Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi. 

My achievements include working on various glossaries of projects such as residences, Planetariums and Museums, Commercial Headquarters, Mixed-use large-scale development projects, Master Plans, etc. Such various experiences have also exposed me to designing, handling, and team management at various scales.
As a skilled professional and researcher I am always open to new experiences. My practice so far has been inclined towards creating inclusive spaces and diverse styles of architecture. I have worked with various poverty-stricken and marginalized communities on the ground and conducted local area planning with engendered themes. We have tested various methods of ethnography, and qualitative and quantitative surveying techniques in my academic thesis both at post-graduate and graduate levels.

I recently completed my post graduation in urban design from School of Planning and Architetcure, New Delhi in 2023. 
I completed my under-graduation in 2015 in architecture from Rajasthan Technical University.
