About Navamita Mukherjee:

Navamita is an accomplished Communications, Marketing, and Fundraising leader with over a decade of experience building the brand, media presence, and diversified funding portfolios for some of the finest nonprofits in India. She carries equal expertise in media advocacy, public relations, and resource mobilization. In her last role at Rootbridge, she was building the retail fundraising engine for nonprofits by driving communication and donor retention strategies vis-a-vis digital campaigns and social media marketing.

Experience

I’m a detail-oriented, strategic, and skilled Communications, Marketing, and Fundraising professional with extensive experience developing Communications and Fundraising strategies, diversified funding portfolios, and Media and Public Relations. For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of Communication and Fundraising to build the brand, reputation, public image, and funding avenues for some of the leading nonprofits in the country including Teach For India and Humane Society International/India. 

My investment towards strategizing communication campaigns, mobilizing resources and fostering relationships with external stakeholders has been the key to brand positioning the aforementioned nonprofits as champions of their respective movements. In my entire stint in the development space, I've been a social entrepreneur and initiator who has single-handedly managed communication, media relations, and fundraising portfolios. I'm a creative, critical thinker, and result-driven individual who believes in fully owning and finishing a task. Before joining the development sector, I worked with Deloitte Consulting. In my last role at Rootbridge Services, I was implementing digital marketing strategies to manage donor retention for nonprofits like PeTA India, C.R.Y, Breakthrough India, and The Wire, to name a few.
