Dr Premnath D has born and completed secondary and higher secondary school from the south tamilnadu town of sattur, He has graduated from Bachelor in Pharmacy from Dr.MGR (govt) Medical University Chennai, Master of Technology in Bioinformatics program at SASTRA University Thanjavur INDIA 2007. Postdoctoral from the University of Manitoba CANADA, currently working as an Asst.Professor at Karunya University Coimbatore India in Bioinformatics program he work at the Institute of Bioinformatics. Fourteen years of experience as an Asst.Professor for the Institute of Bioinformatics keeps my experience in the application of computation in many fields. he also conducted project supervision for (B.Tech., M.Tech, M.Pharm) students in those research areas. He achieved teaching experience also as a visiting lecturer in some universities in India and carry out government-funded projects. Besides my main responsibility, He also accomplished some research independently or in a team mainly in the complex Bioinformatics field. These practices give me skill in the application of complex Bioinformatics. His studies in Bioinformatics and Pharmacy program in India not only provide my strong background and research experience in Bioinformatics but also in its application in many fields. Several projects and courses provide my broad view of Bioinformatics problems in various fields. I also have gained valuable experience in solving a real problem. His line of research will examine the role of drug activity in the treatment and prevention of critical disease and the physiological mechanisms potentially underlying the effects on human health. During my graduate studies I gained significant experience in chemical synthesis of small molecules and computational protein structure modelling. Progress towards my career goal requires training using animal models of disease, and applied research on G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and their effectors involved in human health. GPCRs constitute 40% of prescribed drugs and form the major drug targets in medicinal chemistry. With this objective in mind he accepted a PDF with joint supervisions by Drs Dakshinamurti and Chelikani.The MITACs funded program on developing GPCR based diagnostic kits gives an unique opportunity to train in applied medicinal chemistry. His academic training and research experience have provided me with an excellent background in multiple biological disciplines including Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Medical Physiology.
