I am a Prosthodontist & Oral Implantologist from India. 

Today I am a Prosthodontist in my Home country. But my relationship with dentistry is since I was a child.
Born in the house of a Pedodontist, both I and my sister were fascinated by this noble profession. Since childhood I have been visiting a dental office and I developed a liking towards a dental office right from a very young age. I was a curious child and used to raise a lot of questions to my father related to the Dental materials. Everyone used to be surprised on seeing a young kid showing keen interest in dental materials. At the age of 8 only I had decided that I want to become a Dentist like my Father.
During my Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS), I learnt all the work which is in the capacity of a young General Dentist. I had keen interest in field of Prosthodontics.
During my internship year I lost my Molar tooth which was endodontically treated for quite some time. Hence I got a Dental Implant in the upper molar in year 2007. That time in India, Dental Implants were relatively new. We had read about it but practically it was my first time seeing and experiencing a Dental Implant being placed in my oral cavity. When the implant was loaded it felt like my natural tooth. I was fascinated by this. It made me interested towards learning this science more. I always had interest in Prosthodontics. Hence I decided to do Masters in the same. It was a three years course in which I learnt a lot. My approach towards treatment planning changed completely. It helped me a lot to gain success.
I got myself trained for Surgical Implantology for additional 1 year at Shiwalik Hospital Chandigarh. Here I performed Ridge split; Indirect Sinus Lift ; Bone Grafting etc. Today after placing and restoring more than 1500 implants and doing numerous Full Mouth Rehabilitation cases, I feel lucky to have got all the above experiences.
Talking about the research work. I conducted a study on prevalence of Golden Proportion in young adults. The study was conducted on 120 young adults with the help of a digital camera. On the Standardized pictures perceived mesiodistal width of maxillary anterior teeth was calculated. Further the proportion value of mesiodistal width each maxillary anterior tooth was calculated from the total perceived mesiodistal width of tooth no 6 to 11.
I always wanted to work in USA because I feel the science which one can learn and implement here is much more advanced than the rest of the world. So I started preparing for the Board Exams. I passed the INBDE recently in 2022. Hence I am applying for this position. I am certain I will be useful to your department if given the opportunity.
