I am a Software Quality Assurance professional with 11+ years of experience in different testing practices. I have helped organizations of different sizes to scale up their business to various heights using my expertise in SDLC and STLC. Project 15   : Synergy Shipping [ Web App ]

Duration     : January 2023 to July 2023

Description:

Synergy shipping pvt ltd is one of the famous shipping software provider developing web and mobile apps to manage software activities inside ship and in shore management.

Sail app is managed by ship captain and subordinate officers whereas shore app is managed by an array of teams ranging from resource recruiters to accounts officials. Both Sail app and shore app are well integrated with each other thereby resulting in data transfers or reflection in each other.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Took over QA team afresh from exiting QA lead by getting sufficient knowledge transfer in schedule basis. 

2. Analyzed functional test scenarios given by client to identify traceability in JIRA.

3. Coached and mentored test team members to verify automation feasibility of available test cases from JIRA to increase visibility by 60%.

4. Resolved discrepancies in identifying the relevant test cases to proceed further with very complex test scenarios.

5. Validated test effort estimation derived for different complexities of test cases Created traceability for all new enhancements and SIS raised by clientele network.

6. Optimized test cases in regression test suite based upon the validity of existing test features.

7. Implemented automation test strategy by chairing meeting with test architect and clientele stakeholders.

Project 14   : Grubhub Driver App [ Mobile App ]

Duration     : March 2021 to December 2022

Description:

Grubhub driver app was developed to provide food delivery job opportunities in USA. People interested in delivering food can install this app from playstore and appstore. Grubhub driver app helps driver to accept food order from their favourite circumference in specified time slot. Grubhub driver app also provides transparent earning history to educate drivers about how much they can drive along with emergency safety feature to call 911.

Roles and responsibilities:

Evaluated and convinced clientele network about the testing gap between diner and driver                  app to bag this project expansion.

Simultaneously tested both Grubhub diner app and driver app to identify the issues in           network layer delays.

3. Chaired kickoff connect to form separate QA team for driver app with new Work                               breakdown structure and test effort estimation.

4. Initiated separate JIRA boards for driver app plus resolved queries posted by developers and fixed the QA objectives for all queries.

5. Hired and trained test resources in both onsite and offshore to work for QAing development efforts in both US and IST time zones.

6. Spearheaded driver app QA team to different heights by churning product quality with the help of android playstore and apple appstore review comments.

7. Guided driver team to validate driver coordinates with the help of shell scripts and xcode

8. Enabled faster release cycles by adding happypath test flows in developer unit tests scenarios by conducting pair programming sessions in US timings.

9.Coached test team members to setup staging test environment for new feature smoke testing using backend tools provided by development team.

10.Escalated and forecasted showstopper bugs from new enhancements using new relic project dashboards.

11.Explored additional testing activities to compete with existing leading delivery apps such as doordash, user eats,etc., by volunteering to connect with onsite BA teams.

12.Prioritized backlogs based upon interviews with real drivers in US timezones and tracking issues from customer support slack channels.

13.Streamlined devOps cycles as similar to diner app to make it more transparent and united as a single app test flow.

14.Chaired meetings with technology directors to enable data visualization using JIRA tools to illustrate gaps in development and testing practices.

15.Automated triggering of test orders using postman scripting and forking sample collections from developer unit tests thereby training team members with the same.

16.Showcased viable quality results by meticulously recording playstore and appstore reviews before and after QAing in the form of review ratings from 3.0 to 4+.

 

Project 13   : TVS Nexus [ Web App ]

Duration     : July 2021 to November 2021

Description:

Nexus portal is developed to serve employees of TVS Next for day to day official activities such as entering timesheets, apply and approving for day offs, checkin and checkout, assigning projects,etc.,This was tested using AI tool from TCS digitate tool called Ignio. Entire project is all about using this AI tool to create AI bubbles for each and every module in TVS Nexus. 

Roles and responsibilities:

Took over QA team afresh from exiting QA lead by getting sufficient knowledge transfer in               schedule basis.

2. Analyzed testing gaps from existing test scenarios and got it approved from TCS team.

3. Created test flows using AI bubbles for all modules.

4. Escalated discrepancies identified with the tool.

5. Resolved design conflicts between principle architects and QA team by illustrating the real-time usage metrics of timesheets module by employees.

6. Collaborated with TCS team principal architect, product manager and development team to illustrate the usability and performance issues identified.

7. Carried out test closure activities with the product and tool thereby concluding the product quality. 

 

Project 12   : Grubhub food ordering portal [ Web App ]

Duration     : October 2020 to December 2020

Description:

Grubhub web portal is used by few people in USA to order food from different restaurant. Grubhub faced a lawsuit to make the product more user friendly for people with disability. This was the pivotal point to have hands on in accessibility testing. This project is all about making Grubhub web portal more user friendly with Accessibility standards. 

Roles and responsibilities:

Initiated grooming session with design team to understand the requirements.

Conducted brainstorming session with onsite clientele network to get approval on the test

tools and strategies to be used.

Coached team members about WCAG standards and use of accessibility related browser

     extensions for evaluating AAA and AA standards.

Implemented node js library to identify accessibility issues in application under test.

Consolidated and illustrated defects with clientele network design team to enable UI/UX 

     design changes as per user needs.

Obtained and submitted clientele network feedback to Management team.

Performed test closure activity to conclude accessibility testing.

 

Project 11   : Grubhub Diner app [ Mobile App ]

Duration     : December 2019 to February 2021

Description:

Grubhub mobile app is exclusively used only in USA to order  food in nearby restaurants. Further this mobile app heats up the food industry by adding ratings to the restaurants, filtering based upon the distance, cost. Grubhub competes with doordash and help people order their best food from their favourite restaurants with rewards and different payment systems.

Roles and responsibilities:

1.Managed offshore resource on-boarding and training responsibilities.

2.Test planning for weekly releases with development team release shepherds.

3. Jira cycle creation for test execution and assigning test folders for individual resources.

4. Build version management with the help of release notes in Jira.

5. Tracking of user story and fixed bug tickets for the release builds.

6. Assimilating new joiners quickly into the team by using training schedules.

7. Monitored test resources in probation period to assess for required testing skills.

8. Coaching team members to receive new builds and collect crash logs from IDEs.

9. Providing feedback and suggesting improvements in bug tickets plus test cases developed by test team members.

10.Maintaining Jira as a single source of truth for tracking QA metrics by creating filters, labels and dashboards.

11.Reported to onsite Quality director for all tracks such as android, iOS and web app for weekly and monthly basis.

12.Collaborated with onsite stakeholders and played an pivotal role in project expansion of similar parent project of Seamless mobile diner app.

13.Conducted POC of cloud device labs and recommended Browserstack to perform exploratory testing in different array of mobile devices.

14.Advised onsite dev team about bug impact in business flows with the help of Google Analytics during bug triage connects.

15.Monitoring main releases, dot/patch releases, hot-fixes with the help of newrelic and splunk.

16.Chaired and encouraged test team members to grab opportunities to communicate with client in monthly status connect.

17.Carried out sign-off and test closure activities for weekly testing routine.

18.Triggering individual test builds in Jenkins for specific code checkin to verify specific test charters from clientele network.

19.Mentored test team on charles proxy API testing for tracking of package error states in staging environment.

20.Coaching testing peers to update existing test cases in JIRA cycle as per the software post-mortem report from onsite stakeholders.

21.Reviewing TDD unit tests for onsite development team members to ensure coverage of major business flows thereby acting as SMEs for Grubhub diner app.

22.Setting up test environment by configuring test data using backend restaurant configuration portal.

23.Conducted day light savings testing with onsite stakeholders to approve happypath flows.

24.Guided and mentored test team members to adhere to better testing practices while being in complete WFH pattern because of COVID.

 

Project 10   : RX gift card [ Web App ]

Duration     : July 2019 to November 2019

Description:

Rx gift card application was developed from scratch for both mac and windows compatibility to help pharmacy users avoid carrying cash or physical wallet. Rx gift card web app development and UI re-skinning was done simultaneously to ensure smooth business integration with leading pharmacy chains such as CVS, Walmart and Walgreens.  

Roles and responsibilities:

Initiated direct interaction with client to confirm and freeze requirements 

Acted as both BA and QA to formulate agile sprint devOps.

3. Developed user stories in basic excel sheets to coach developers about new features.

4. Resolved queries posted by developers and fixed the QA objectives for all queries.

5. Created traceability for all new enhancements and SIS raised by clientele network.

6. Performed image testing automation with test URLs in staging environment.

7. Educated project stakeholders about importance of cross-browser testing.

8. Performed test executions to empower production release with go and no-go features.

9. Simplified existing QA processes with more forward and backward traceabilities.

10.Reported to project manager about QA accomplishments against benchmark setup by client to ensure successful business connect.

 

Project 9     : On-Q App [ Mobile and Tablet ]

Duration     : December 2018 to June 2019

Description:

On-Q mobility application was developed for education purpose to enable communication between teacher and students. This mobility app allows both group of people to accomplish their education tasks on the go. Teacher/ Instructor record and post their teaching video in this mobility platform to their students who in turn view and respond with their  feedbacks and doubts in comments section. Teachers and students get notified when their posts and comments are addressed in any form. Teachers have full control of the interface to provide equal benefit to all students using this medium of education.

Roles and responsibilities:

Taking part in grooming sessions conducted by Business analysts.

Migrating and designing test cases from excel to Test rail test management tool.

3. Conducting POC for test automation using Seetest cloud device lab.

4. Daily build distribution and smoke testing for new enhancements for the day.

5. Tracking defect retesting activity carried out by testing peer.

6. Reporting daily test activity status to QA manager and in client status call.

7. Guiding test team members to setup basic mobility setup using android studio and iTunes.

8. Making sure functional testing progress in right direction without deviation.

9. Mentoring  test team members to derive new test scenarios on multiple combinations.

10.Dissipating pressure transferred from clientele network during release failure, rollback, train releases.

 

Project 8     : Ticketnew App [ Only Mobile in both Android and iOS ]

Duration     : September 2017 to November 2018

Description:

Ticketnew app is used for booking movie tickets all over india. Many popular payments gateways has been integrated with ticketnew app to enhance the users ticket booking experience. This app has robust features starting from new movie notifications to ticket mail confirmations which helps users to pick movies as per their choice, region and language.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Deriving test scenarios from new requirements posted in open project.

2. Formulating test cases from the test scenarios derived.

3. Developing test scripts using Seetest Appium studio.

4. Verifying the test case execution using Seetest Appium studio with the help of Eclipse IDE.

5. Executing daily smoke testing scripts for ticket booking module.

6. Updating the test cases for mobility based upon the playstore review comments.

7. Collecting bugs logged by functional teams and converting the bugs into 

     Automation test scripts for regression test suite.

8. Triggering the build process from Jenkins using local machine.

9. Communicating the bugs encountered during script executions.

10.Escalating show stopper issues within the product and testing process.

11.Using Charles proxy and Postman to test the web services API response for ticket booking.

 

Project 7     : Walgreens Universal App [ Mobile and Tablet ]

Duration     : November 2015 to July 2017

Description:

Walgreens Universal App has been created to extend the goodness of the app and its features to tablet device users. Universal app was developed to enhance the user operations in more ways by designing the app for the recent android release.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Deriving test scenarios from  the Mobile Devs plus associated mocks and wires. 

2. Formulating test cases from the test scenarios derived.

3. Tablets orientation testing for new features using 2 different tablet device platforms.

4. Photo URL testing with Jason plugin in web browser.

5. Variable tracking using web monitoring tools.

6. Testing App in various devices and in different test environments

7. Reviewing bugs logged by testing peers on daily basis.

8. Smoke testing the patch releases done by third party vendors.

9. Logging defects relevant to the Mobile devs tested in the sprint.

10.Comparing regression testing and retesting of fixed defects to escalate test time variance.

 

Project 6     : Walgreens Mobile App

Duration     : January 2014 to October 2015

Description:

Walgreens mobile app was created to ease the pharmacy procedures for people in USA. Walgreens main focus is to serve the pharma field in USA. App comprises of many major features which were developed by having user priorities in mind.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Analysing the clash of functionalities for different types of users.

2. Analysing Mobile devs assigned for each and every sprint.

3. Deriving test scenarios from the Mobile Devs and associated mocks.

4. Formulating test cases from the test scenarios derived.

5. Mentoring freshers in deriving new test scenarios and defects for each requirement.

6. Reviewing test cases designed to enhance test coverage by 20%.

7. Executing test cases for the particular sprint. 

8. Connecting mobile real device with System using Charles proxy

9. Installing charles certificate to enable charles proxy detection in device

10.We use charles proxy to test omniture variables in mobile app to identify new feature usage among user community.

11.SSL mapping and testing was carried out using charles - once when we paste the relevant web services URL in SSL mapping in charles settings > automatically port number like 443 will get mapped and we can filter the corresponding web services which we need to test.

12.Helping BA to conduct UAT and facilitating short regression test suites as and when required.

 

 

Project 5     : MTE 1.0 Unified Build [GP, SP, AH]

Duration     : January 2013 to October 2013

Description:

MTE 1.0 Unified build was created by having high sophistication in mind. All the previous products have been combined into a single product to help the polyclinics present in New Zealand to manage the Healthcare ecosystem in a balanced way.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Analyzing the clash of functionalities in GP, SP and AH in this unified build.

2. Carrying out regression testing for new builds.

3. Creating test plans and tracking for bugs.

4. Performing Sanity testing for all 3 logins.

5. Creating scenarios using Apploader for performance testing.

6. Participating in discussions with Onsite team for additional client features. 

7. Documenting functional anomalies and reporting bugs for the new features.

8. Helping and motivating developers to come out with a fix for the bugs raised in mantis.

9. Verifying severity and priority before bugs are filtered for triage meetings.

 

Project 4     : MTE General Practitioner [MTE GP]

Duration     : July 2012 to December 2012

Description:

MTE GP was exclusively developed for General Practitioners in New Zealand.MTE GP is inherited from MTE SP with few minor functional and GUI changes. MTE GP was developed with a fresh Windows 7 GUI to suite the modern needs of GPs in NZ and also to compete the present healthcare softwares.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Carrying out GUI testing for the whole product.

2. Performing Agile testing and Adhoc testing.

3. Creating a separate test plan for MTE GP.

4. Writing new test cases for the new GUI.

5. Reporting issues in Mantis and escalating Critical issues to Senior QA team.

6. Segregating test cases for MTE GP and MTE SP.

7. Testing based on the difference between MTE GP and MTE SP.

8. Carrying out integration testing with physical devices.

9. Helping out Automation team to identify the new object and object change.

10. Analyzing Automation execution report to reduce the manual testing work.

  

Project 3     : MTE Specialist [MTE SP]

Duration     : May 2012 to July 2012

Description:

MTE SP was exclusively developed for Specialists practising in New Zealand.MTE SP was developed simultaneously when MTE AH was developed. MTE SP is a functionally rich product which allows Specialists to wide their horizons from Treating patients, Medicating patients to Claiming bills for their services.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Carrying out installation testing in various windows environments.

2. Testing the assigned modules as per FDS.

3. Comparing MT32 and MTE SP for testing purposes.

4. Updating the test cases used for MT32 as per the new needs of MTE SP.

5. Reporting issues in Mantis and escalating Critical issues to Senior QA team.

6. Developing Traceability Matrix for the new features of MTE SP.

7. Developing queries for the tables used in the assigned modules.

8. Documenting major issues and functional anomalies.

 

 

Project 2     : Medtech Evolution Allied Health [MTE AH]

Duration     : March 2012 to April 2012

Description:

MTE AH was exclusively developed for Physiotherapists present in New Zealand. MTE AH has been developed by having MT32 Accidents modules as a major part. A team of Business Analysts and developers introduced new features by having frequent interactions with Allied Health Practitioners in New Zealand. Frequently tested Builds were given to NZ team for demo. 

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Developing test conditions and test cases for around 100+ new features.

2. Testing the features implemented in the new builds.

3. Reporting issues in Mantis and escalating Critical issues to Senior QA team.

4. Developing test data for the features present.

5. Carrying out build verification testing for demo build.

 

Project 1     : Medtech32 (MT 32)

Duration     : January 2012 to February 2012

Description:

MT32 is the parent product of New Zealand Healthcare System.MT32 is being widely used by Doctors in New Zealand.MT32 is the base product which serves as a base for both MT32 NZ and MT32 AU. Medtech holds 93% share in New Zealand Healthcare.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Validation testing for the assigned modules.

2. Updating test cases for the newly added features.

3. Reporting and escalating major, critical and show-stopper bugs.

4. Verification of data migrated from client DB to MT32.

5. Testing the database to verify the migrated data.
