Senior Instrument Maintenance Engineer

 

  • Carrying out Instrument Maintenance tasks with quality while ensuring compliance to standards, procedures and best practices
  • Planning & managing Instrumentation Maintenance Cost /budgeting and coordinating for spare/service procurement
  • Conduct Factory/Site Acceptance Test of different systems and submit reports. 
  • Planning, scoping, estimating, tracking & implementation of project plans within pre-set annual capital / revenue budgets and deadlines and coordinating projects for the set-up facilities.
  • Part of team responsible for review of P&ID, instrumentation datasheets, cause and effect diagrams, interpretation of process flow diagrams, process connection drawings, logic diagrams as and when required. 

 

  • Responsible for scheduled and corrective maintenance of instruments, Installation and commissioning of new instruments, maintain maintenance and calibration history in SAP, participate in reliability studies, failure analysis and make and implementation recommendations.
  • Inst. Systems-Invensys IA series Foxboro DCS, AB/Siemens PLC, Honeywell F&G systems, Bentley Nevada-3500 MCMS. Responsible for new configuration, modification of existing configurations/logics/alarm limits, control loop tuning, alarm rationalization and system hardware maintenance, Cause and effects checking.

PLANT PLANNER 

  • New equipment’s tag creation in SAP and ensure to maintain all standard data of Equipment. Identifying and flagging PSM critical equipment’s, Monitoring of Insurance spares, critical equipment’ spares and shut down spares. and inventory   control of spare parts, Spare Inventory modelling.
  • Material Procurement: Purchase Requisitions creation and follow up to approve the same up to final level and communicate to PR to convert into PO, Spare technical review, Material reservation, inspection and insure to use proper material. 
  • Plan and co-ordinate pre-shutdown, shutdown and post shutdown meetings.
  • Preparation of MIS Reports and monitoring of KPIs for REAM.
  • Co-ordination/compilation of site E&M Annual Planning and Budgeting.
  • Contractor bill review, approval and Service Entry of contractor bill. 
  • PM frequency Scheduling and preparing master data sheet for PM schedule;

Maintenance-Field and Control System Engineer       

  • Functioned as commissioning and maintenance engineer in JERP (Jamnagar Export Refinery Project) of Reliance Industries Limited, the largest grass root refinery of the world.
  • Spearheaded construction activities, commissioning & loop checking of control room & field instruments as per P&ID & location diagrams.
  • Instrumental in preparation of detailed / micro schedules for site works, overall project schedules, procedures for site execution.
  • Initiated continuity checking & loop checking for the instruments and panels internal wiring.
  • Calibration & loop checking of all the field instruments. 
  • Steering configuration & troubleshooting of different smart transmitters (FF & HART), smart positioners of control valve & their tubing, air regulator, volume tank connection according to the hook-up diagrams. 
  • Maintenance of Cl2 dosing system and Fire Pump House
  • Analysers-Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Air, Water treatment & hydrocarbon Analysers, O2,CO2,THC,COD,BOD,TSS,TOC,Silica,PM,pH,Conductivity, Moisture and Wobbe Index,SOX,NOX,Density etc. 
  • F&G System- Familiar with Fire & Gas System of Honeywell and various F&G detectors such as DFI, DSO, DSM, DGT, DGC, DGH & DMC.
  • PLC, DCS, F&G and ESD System-Managing configuration of new control loops and maintenance in the AB-Control Logix, ABB, DELTA, Siemens S7 300 PLCs, FOXBORO I/A Series 8.2.3 DCS of Invensys and ESD (Tri-conex- Tri-station 1131) and Honeywell F&G System.
  • MCMS System-Maintaining & calibrating Bentley Nevada 3500/1600 measuring system.
