Richard Barooah is a result-oriented hospitality professional with over 23 years of hands-on global experience in renowned hotel brands in various management positions. A postgraduate in business management and an alumnus of University of Lausanne, he has worked in multiple countries in short and long-term assignments in Europe, Middle East, and South East Asian countries in various leadership roles. He has responsibly driven and successfully positioned various hotels in competitive markets. 
His current portfolio makes him responsible for a luxury and an upscale property with a total inventory of 300+ keys under Ascott Residence and Citadines brands. 
The Ascott Ireo City Gurgaon (AICG) is a luxury, 198 keys, all suites property with state-of-the-art restaurants, cigar & malt lounge & conference facilities. AICG is the 1st flagship Ascott project of South Asia region located in Gurugram, India. Citadines Paras square Gurugram, (CPSG) is an upscale 94 keys property with a chic coffee shop, swimming pool and conference provisions making it a contemporary extended stay hotel. Both the properties are attached to luxury high street retail stores with shaded walkaways .

Richard is responsible for spearheading the complex operations which includes overseeing retail provisions and hotel properties simultaneously . In addition to it currently, he is also responsible for 4 luxury commercial clubs and an opulent corporate tower of 26 floors as an additional part of Ireo Hospitality Investment which has over 250 team members.

Richard is a consistent and process-oriented team leader, who believes in a systematic and thoughtful approach towards an organic growth. His expertise are hotel administration and operations management, finance and revenue management, sales & marketing and pre-opening of hotels with 100 percent brand compliances. 
Richard is a passionate hospitality leader who enjoys socializing. In his personal time he tours various cities and hotels with his superbike group and plays golf, winning various tournament like BMW. Mercedes etc.
