I am Samantha Widyarathne, presently working attached to Real Estate and Valuation firm known as IJVR Associates (pvt) ltd, Sri Lanka. I have more than 25 years’ experience in the field of Real Estate Management and Valuation and I am a real estate management and valuation graduate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.Apart from that I am a corporate member of Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka.

Just after graduating in the year 1998, I joined a real estate development company named Asian Finance Limited and started my career in real estate. I worked there for approximately six years, and when I left the company, I held the position of Assistant Manager – Real Estate.

Then I joined with another real estate company named Ceyfco property company (pvt) ltd as a Manager – Real Estate. I was entrusted to run a division with stipulated profit and investment target. Both land developments and housing constructions were the main business activities and easy payment loan schemes were provided to the clients as a tool of the marketing. In addition to that I was responsible for the staff training, prepare annual budget of the division, prepare marketing and sales plan, organize advertising campaign, property inspection and sourcing lands for purchase, all authority and Government approval procedure handling and attended to the client’s grievances and complaints etc. 

In the year 2015 December I left Ceyfco property company and joined with Valuation consultancy company named IJVR Associates (pvt) ltd in order to sharpen my property valuation carrier. Then I was able to gain much more experience with the property valuation industry and received the professional associate membership of the institute of valuers of Sri Lanka.Presently I work as a General Manager of the organization overlooking all managerial and administrative functions in addition to the property valuation. The duties entrusted to my preview is preparing annual budget with Managing Director, staff recruitments, Oversea HR division activities, organize in house and out bound training, prepare tender documents, agreements and attended to the tender meetings and perform duties as in charge of the real estate agency activities like real estate advisory service, brokering service, prepare tenants agreements and liaise with marketing team to achieve sales target. We are engaged in condominium management and presently one of multi-story condominium apartment is managed by our team under my leadership.

I am now a highly experienced real estate and valuation practitioner with over 25 years of experience. I have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of real estate management. I am confident that I can exceed your expectations in performing all duties and responsibilities if given the opportunity. I strongly believe that I could have the opportunity to work with your esteemed organization as a property manager or whatever suits to my education and experience.
