Sandeep Goyal

I am Dr Sandeep Goyal (MBBS, MD), currently working as Assistant Director in Integrated Disease Surveillance Program at National Centre for Disease Control, Delhi. I am a native of Haryana State in India, married with 2 kids, currently based in Delhi.

I believe that preventive medicine is the solution to global health problems. It is only by reducing the disease incidence that we can provide health for all.

I have more than 6 years of experience in the public health including non-communicable disease with publications on Cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension etc as well as communicable disease surveillance program.

My special area of interest is Epidemiology especially Clinical Epidemiology.

Alongwith having several peer reviewed original research publications, I am a reviewer for esteemed public health journals like ‘International Journal of Epidemiology’ and ‘American Journal of Public Health’.

I am a medical doctor, having graduated from one of the best Indian Medical University followed by extensive pre-MD work experience. I than proceeded to pursue my MD in Public Health. As I have always been academically inclined, I followed it with another 4 years of Senior Residentship which involved lot of research and teaching of undergrad and post-grad medical students.

To get a real world experience of public health, I moved to India premier public health agency of Ministry of Health and have been contributing to India's health for more than 2 years.
