I started my career as a Library trainee in the library department in Manipur University in 2000. During this period, I am able to learn about the different sections of the library and was trained to do Acquisition, Classification, Cataloguing, Shelving of card and Data entry into the library software SOUL (Software for University Library).  After working for about 2 years, I got the opportunity to work in one of the prestigious institute in India INFLIBNET (Information and Library networked) Centre an Inter University Centre of University Grant Commission. I worked as a Project Scientist on the bulging project “UGC-INFONET” E-Journal consortium the largest consortium of Indian Universities. I spent about 4 years in INFLIBENT that provided information systems, training and education, and technology consultation to libraries and Information centers in a wide range of settings. I have got enormous experience of interacting with the system, users and executives. I have had total responsibility for all library functions and operations. Moreover, I have been integral in updating the usage of the consortia, communicating with key library employees, and ensuring optimum customer experience. Archiving of print copy of the E-Journal subscribed under the consortium was my responsibilities too. Then I moved the University of Eswatini, formerly called the University of Swaziland in 2007 as an Assistant Librarian. With my dedication in the profession, I was given in charge of the Cataloguing department in 2010 and in 2013 I was promoted to current position of Senior Assistant Librarian (Cataloguing Head). I have gained insight into the different level of Library management. I have been involved in the coordination of teaching information literacy, library skill, school librarianship, Statistic for information Scientist, Economics and politics of Information, Introduction to Internet and web design to the students at the University. I consistently believe in taking challenges and exploring new ingenious concept to improve library efficiently. All my jobs have required a high standard of user service skills. I am excited at the prospect of bringing my talent to any institute that I work for.

I have a Ph. D. in Library & Information Science with an honours in Botany and a Diploma in Computer application.
