Saurabh Sharma

I am a PhD pursuing academician teaching since 2012, having experience of national as well as international academics.

I started my professional career from August 2011 as a Senior Architect at Pramod Jain & Associates, Jaipur and worked on various projects like Jaipur Metro Parking, Jaipur International Centre, Jaipur ISBT Competition, Hindustan Zinc, etc. In October 2012, I went on to pursue my interest in architecture education and joined Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur as Lecturer. Since then, I worked as Assistant Professor in Manipal University Jaipur and Poornima University Jaipur where I was promoted to the position of Deputy Head of Department. In 2017, I was selected at Lecturer position in Ibra College of Technology, Sultanate of Oman, which gave me a good international exposure. On returning back, I was offered the position of Head of Department, School of Planning and Architecture at Poornima University and I served there till 2022, being promoted to Dean In charge of Design School, in parallel. But, my PhD needed more dedicated time and attention; therefore, I took my break and focused more on my PhD so as to finish it in good time. Along with focusing on my PhD, I am also working as Architect on projects and gaining industry experience and as a Visiting Faculty at Amity University Rajasthan.

I am a graduate holding Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (Institute of National Importance recognized by Government of India and ranked 15th in NIRF, Government of India Ranking Framework). I completed my graduation degree in 2009. I did my Postgraduate in Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (Institute of National Importance recognized by Government of India; Ranked 1st in NIRF, Government of India Ranking Framework; Qs World Ranking at 389 and; Times Higher Education Ranking 2020 rank band of 501 – 600). I completed my post-graduation in 2011. Currently, I am also pursuing my PhD in Integrated Roof Structures from Manipal University Jaipur (NAAC A+ Accredited, Ranked in NIRF, Government of India Ranking Framework) which is expected to be completed by the year 2024.
