He completed his M.B.B.S from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi. Subsequently, he underwent training for general Ophthalmology surgical procedures at Guru Nanak Eye Centre which is affiliated with MAMC, LNJP and GB Pant hospitals; here his thesis focused on Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD).
