Savita Rani

I am PhD scholar under Prof. A.K. Shukla at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India. Recently I submitted my thesis entitled "Study of Silicon- Nanowires and Copper Nanoflowers Decorated with Silver Nanostructures for Surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy". I completed my Master of Science (M.Sc) in physics from MDU Rohtak. In High school, I have a strong academic track record. Owing to my willingness to enhance a better understanding of experimental and technological aspects of novel synthesis, I aspire to be part of a vibrant research group to pursue my career in Industries.

• Working on Surface- Enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS).
• Working on silicon nanowires (SiNWs) decorated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) as SERS substrate to detect a mixture of dyes in polluted water.
• SiNWs decorated with AgNPs as tunable photovoltaic cells.
• Copper nanoflowers (CuNFs) are decorated with silver nanorods (AgNRs) as hydrophobic SERS substrates.
• Worked as an operator on a Raman spectrometer at Nanoscale Research Facility IIT Delhi.
• As teaching assistant for B.tech courses in physics practical lab at IIT Delhi
• Supervised M.Sc student projects facilitating progress and encouraging deeper learning through application.
