Shireen Patel

With a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Maryland, my expertise in UX combines research, design, psychology, and business acumen. My work as a UX Research Intern at Relativity ODA enhanced an Internal Recruiting Form, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gain insights into organizational dynamics.
I also contributed to the Library of Congress as a UX Designer and Researcher, revamping their Integrated Library System, impacting millions of users. Currently, as a Lead UI Designer at Caim, I've increased conversion rates through enhanced navigation and established an accessible design system in line with brand guidelines.

During my tenure as a UX Research Intern at Relativity ODA LLC, I led research efforts to enhance the Internal Recruiting Form. Collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders, I gained insights into organizational complexities and hierarchies. This experience reinforced my ability to navigate multifaceted challenges.
Moreover, I had the privilege of working with the Library of Congress as a UX Designer and Researcher during my year-long capstone project. Our mission was to revamp their existing Integrated Library System (ILS) used by 11 million unique visitors a month, with a specific focus on the discovery layer, website flows, and navigation menus. 
I am thrilled to share that I now serve as a Lead UI Designer at Caim. In this role, I have achieved significant results, including boosting conversion rates through optimized navigation across the main site and web application. I have also played a pivotal role in establishing an accessible design system that seamlessly aligns with brand guidelines.

I recently tossed my graduation cap into the air at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning my MS degree in HCI in May 2023. But my journey into the world of technology and design began long before that with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
