My name is Shubhi Mishra, and I bring to the table a strong academic background in Archaeology and skills in GIS and Remote sensing. I hold a master's degree from Banaras Hindu University, specializing in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology. Additionally, I have pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India.

 I worked at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bengaluru as a Project Associate on the project entitled "Cultural Landscape Research: Characterizing and managing built heritage sites' funded by ISRO (27 May 2021 to 19 July 2023 (30 August). During my two-year experience at NIAS, I acquired valuable skills in understanding the interaction between humans and landscapes by employing advanced technologies like GIS, Remote Sensing, and traditional ground-truthing survey methods. In my project, I documented 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The documentation was carried out on a GIS platform by analysing remote sensing data, Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Corona Imagery, LISS-3 and 4, along with other raster data. This process included georeferencing old maps and archives to identify lost historical features and understand how the area's geology changed due to infrastructure development. The use of vector data was employed to mark and represent historical and natural features, incorporating attributes directly and indirectly related to built heritage, such as paleochannels, seasonal catchments, canals, lakes, and tanks.

I have also served as a site supervisor on the Raigard Development Project at Raigard Fort in Mahad District, Maharashtra, with the Archaeological Survey of India in 2020 and worked in excavations at Telhara, Bihar in 2021, with the Bihar Heritage Development Society.
