I introduce myself as Dr. Sonal Devesh, with teaching, research, and publication experience of over 24 years. My experience spreads over areas of teaching mathematics, statistics, and research methodology with SPSS to postgraduate and undergraduate students in the fields of business, medicine, and nursing.
 

I worked as a researcher/faculty in Mathematics, Statistics and Research in the Postgraduate Studies and Research department in the College of Banking and Financial Services (established by Royal decree under the supervision of the Central Bank of Oman). My area of work includes training academic staff, conducting lectures in Mathematics, Statistics, Research Methods, and SPSS (Statistical Package of Social Sciences), and teaching Analytical Support for Decision Making (ASDM) for postgraduate students (affiliated with the University of Strathclyde, UK) and promoting a research culture among the staff and students. 

I have a patent for one of my research projects along with 28 publications in global leading publications like ABDC. Scopus Indexed, to name a few. Over the coming years, I have plans for major research in different areas, for which I will update myself with emerging technologies, techniques, and study materials. I will carry out successful research where my highest efforts will be to qualify for grants and funding support. I have planned to publish papers based on curriculum and pedagogy, assessment methods, quality assurance, academic advising, etc., along with teaching Mathematics, Statistics, and research methods to postgraduate and undergraduate students and also supervising their research projects. I will also conduct faculty development programs on the statistical package and research methods to promote a research culture in the entire university.

My other work experiences cover Module head for Mathematics and Statistics in Majan University (affiliated with the University of Bedfordshire, UK) also as a part-time faculty in Oman Medical College (affiliated with West Virginia University USA), Muscat, Oman teaching Biostatistics, Research Methods, and Epidemiology for pharmacy and medicine students, along with experience as an Assistant Professor covering many medical and nursing colleges in Mangalore, India as part-time faculty, along with being a full-time faculty in one of the colleges. Additionally, I have contributed as an external verifier in various colleges in Oman and India, along with publishing papers related to the field of teaching, learning.

Educational Qualification:
 Bachelors of Science in Statistics, Mathematics & Computer Science from Mangalore University.
 Masters of Science in Statistics from Mangalore University.
 PhD. in Statistics from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia.
