SUBHASH VERMA

In more than 23 years of serving as a senior operational health physicist, I have been involved in radiation detection, measurement and ensure the radiation safety of occupational workers during operation and outage/shut down or maintenance at nuclear plant and have a wide array of experience in the fields of radiation protection.
I have been involved in and managing radiological monitoring such as workplace, personnel, and effluent monitoring Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. 
I have wide laboratory experience involving quality assurance check of laboratory instruments, radioactivity measurements such as tritium activity measurement in air and various aqueous samples using Liquid Scintillation Spectroscopy and qualitative and quantitative measurement of gamma emitting radio nuclide using Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy. 
I was instrumental in all radioactive operations liaising with the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board for Radiation Safety and Surveillance Management, Occupational radiation dose management, calibration and quality checks of radiation monitoring instruments, and radioactive waste management. 
I have been participating in ALARA meetings for various jobs having a high potential of exposure and adhered to procedures for maintaining personnel exposures as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA), Implemented the programs to assign exposure while following the concepts of ALARA. 
I participated in radiation emergency exercises periodically conducted at Rajasthan Atomic Power Station a unit of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). My role as a member and as a team leader of the group was commendable. I have proved my technical, scientific, and leadership capabilities for the tasks and assignments assigned to me. 
I have taken responsibility for developing, planning, coordinating, and managing radiation safety programs, including the implementation of the programs and imparted of advanced radiation protection training to radiation workers/engineering graduates and also involved in public awareness programs about radiation exposure and its impact on public and environment. 
I also have a wide array of experience in the field of radiation protection and lead the radiation protection team  involved in jobs having high potential for radiation exposure such as:
-En-mass coolant channel replacement (EMCCR)
-En-mass Feeder Replacement (EMFR).
-En-mass Boiler Heat-Exchange Replacement.
Transportation of radioactive materials and issuing safe shipment certificates for transportation of radioactive materials. 
I completed various jobs in 45 planned/ Biennial shutdowns (outage) adhering to all radiological, industrial safety and regulatory compliance. 
I have Knowledge and understanding of radiation protection philosophies, procedures, equipment, and techniques used both in theory and practice. 
I am an active team leader/member with vast experience in diverse technical domains especially in management of occupational radiation safety and new development ideas for continual improvement.

Achievements
As a radiation safety officer In-charge of radiation protection task force of the En-mass coolant
channel replacement (EMCCR),En-mass Feeder Replacement (EMFR) and En-mass Boiler Heat
-Exchange Replacement jobs these jobs having very high potential of radiation exposure.
Due to effectively area and personal radiation monitoring and regulatory compliance these jobs
were completed within the 80% of the  budgeted dose and without any over exposure case.
