Dear Professor,

I, Surendar Chitti glad to introduce myself as a highly spirited personality aiming to better my expertise in the field of synthetic organic chemistry and new drug discovery. I pursued doctorate in chemistry (Ph.D.) under the supervision of Prof. K.V.G. ChandraSekhar, BITS Pilani-Hyderabad campus, Telangana, India.   

My thesis entitled “Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Novel Heterocyclic Compounds as Anti-cancer and Anti-tubercular Agents.” I have 9 publications in reputed scientific journals.

During my Ph.D., I have been explored chemistry on novel small heterocyclic molecules like; Imidazo [2,1-a] pyridine derivatives, Spirochromanone-thiophene & Phenyl derivatives, Imidazo [2,1-b] thiazole and benzo [d] imidazo [2,1-b] thiazole carboxamide derivatives, triazole derivatives etc., which were further evaluated for their Anti-cancer, Anti-TB activity.

In addition, I have 15+ years of contract research organization (CRO) experience ( including 7 years in Ph.D.) and extensive experience in designing and synthetic routes for novel compounds, solving challenging synthetic problems, capable of individual and group work. 

During my industrial exposure I have very much experience in multistep organic synthesis, heterocyclic, catalysis, organometallic chemistry etc. I am very much familiar with interpretation of all the synthesized compounds using NMR, MS, LCMS, HPLC and IR etc.

My success in the past has stemmed from a strong commitment to hard work; sense of professionalism, dedication and responsibility. I am sure that my strong background and related industrial work experience and quick learning of new skills will enable me to meet the requirement of the position and allow me to apply my knowledge.
