Experience

  • Installation of DB2 Products and Fix packs on AIX/Linux environment.
  • Expertise in rolling upgrade and version upgrades in a DB2 high availability disaster recovery (HADR) environment
  • Perform redirected restores to support the development team at a regular and on request basis.
  • Using Db2 Explain tool for query tuning and using Design Advisor for finding missing Indexes for better query performance.
  • Knowledge in UNIX Shell Scripting for database prospective.
  • Monitoring and reporting with InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager.
  • Resolved all types of frequent load issues for application and ETL teams
  • Good working knowledge on DB2 HADR TSA Setup and implementation. 
  • Good working knowledge on Database partitioning (DPF).
  • Expertise in using DB2 Movement Utilities like db2move, Export, Import and Load.
  • Experience in DB2 UDB Command Line Utilities like db2icrt, db2advis, db2ckbkp……etc. 
  • Expertise in creating Instances, DB2 databases, bufferpools, Tablespaces as per client requirement. 
  • Expertise in running REORG and RUNSTATS for better performance of the database
  • Experience in design and maintenance of databases, performance testing and troubleshooting.
  • Scheduling and maintaining DB2 housekeeping scripts 
  • Administration tasks such as monitoring, error checking, health checkup, trouble shooting etc...
  • Good Knowledge on PMR Process
  • Full database recovery and roll forward recovery to end of logs for no transaction loss or to specific point in time recovery.
  • Experience in Disaster recovery test scenarios.
  • Experience in Optimum Performance Manager (OPM) Installation and Configuration for monitor the databases.

  • M.SC Computer Science from Kakatiya University.
